  1. Not sure exactly....I think a canon SLR from a couple of years ago....with a huge lens as well.
  2. I did this trip last summer with a buddy of mine from Whistler. Just got my hands on the pics he took and there are some really neat ones. I'll post a few more once I get them all downsized. He has a ridiculous camera that took some wicked sharps pics. During the trip I was somewhat annoyed at the time he took in snapping pics but now looking back I wish I had been more patient. Can't wait to do the trip again! Enjoy....
  3. I was also happy with Thornes ....aka TMS. I didn't buy anything really specialized but their prices were great on several small items. They seem to stock a good variety of stuff....pretty much everything I was looking for when I placed my last order....here in less than 5 business days. However, I don't have anywhere local to buy being in the Hat......if you can get to a shop I would recommend it as well.
  4. You guys get too many holidays......any job openings????
  5. The Tampa Game was one of the most boring games I've seen in a long time. Can't believe I stayed awake through the whole thing. I'm guessing Columbus tonight will be a little more energetic.
  6. Since I bought the laptop for my wife I had to buy myself an i touch.....highly recommend one as well. I'm addicted to the air hockey game on there.....
  7. He played really well! He definately worked for that shutout.
  8. Somewhere around Parksville on Vancouver Island......or Whistler.....lived in both places before and would love to go back.
  9. I would agree with the comments on HNIC/CBC......Don Cherry is going senile (sp?) and is becoming more difficult to watch. The number of games that we are forced to watch Toronto and Ottawa is killing me....they are horrible besides the fact that there are several good Canadian boys playing for teams in the US that we don't get to see. I finally sprung for the centre ice package so I had some options outside of those tragic teams. Part of the problem lies in how they schedule the games but I guess you can't please everyone.
  10. I just bought my wife the basic Mac laptop and she loves it! The basic software for photos and videos has been quite impressive as well as the response time in starting up and opening docs. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a photo/music machine. So far we have found it to be reliable and easy to use. Happy shopping!
  11. It was quite a tip in by Burrows......how bout Sundin roofing it in the shootout! I'm not sure who I should cheer for in the Flames/Oilers game. Be nice to see the Canucks reel the Flames in but Edmonton trying to creep into a spot as well. Actually, I wouldn't mind to see the Oilers in there as well and as long as the Canucks keep on their streak......Cole just scored.....go Oil go......
  12. I plan to get out a bunch more this year as well as get my little girls out on the water. (We'll see how patient I really am- 3 under the age of 4) Also want to get down to Montana for some fishing on the Missouri and hopefully some of the waters around there. And...... more time on some of the rivers between here and the interior of BC.........regardless of where I end up getting to go the cell phone will be as far away as humanly possible!
  13. Hey now....we're all entitled to our opinions.....as crazy as they might seem! Especially in years like this....ouch. Unless things change a whole bunch they won't have many of the players looking like this......
  14. The Blackhawks are really taking a beating tonight....senseless penalties and the Canucks are getting some good breaks with all of the pressure they are getting. Nice to see the Canucks get things going a little bit.
  15. I've seen a few Canuck fans on here, we need a place to vent here too. Lets show all of these wanna be teams what the nucks' are about.
  16. Very nice! Great shots of all of the different coloring in those fish. It shows as well that a lot of fun can be had in some of those small creeks. I hope someone has been sending these to WFN!!! Mark
  17. That is scary.....you must be very careful in who you choose for those situations.
  18. I just started tying a couple of months ago and have found you tube to be a great resource. It will enable you to watch the techniques over and over to see just how things can be done. Learning how to whip finish was driving me crazy until I went to you tube......highly recommend it. The club will be awesome as well as you can get ideas on what to tie and different techniqes.
  19. So Apparently for Bullshead we'll just stick with an electric motor. .........
  20. Apparently there is a little bit of a conspiracy going on here!
  21. I would agree with the clippers with the little v that pulls out. Although I have now gone to the welded loop at the end to simplify that. I have been told that the loops create a bit of a hinge that causes problems in casting however I haven't noticed a problem with it at this point. I was using a bic pen ink tube for a while but found I was coming home with ink on my face when I would lose the first section of the tube and have to cut another closer to the ink. When the wind is blowing it is extremly frustating to be messing with those knots.
  22. I figured I wouldn't have any problems finding someone to trade off on the rowing....I was thinking we may have to get a crew down to montana/idaho to pick it up and then fish the way back. Thanks for all the feedback guys! I was leaning towards a clackacraft after seeing them at the show. It seemed to me that all of the smaller details were much cleaner on the clacka vs. the hyde. Glass looked better in the interior vs aluminum boxes as well. Its good to have some positive feedback on them as well. Mark
