  1. I use the crap outta this site! www.atlas.gc.ca/toporama/en/index.html you can get any topo map in any scale you want! I have had an Delorme inreach SE for a few years. In addition to it being able to communicate anywhere, the mobile app is amazing and allows you to download areas of topo data that you define. Check it out http://www.inreachcanada.com/inreach-se/ Craig
  2. If you ever wanna sell that grey line lemme know!
  3. Rain Gear, Tarp, back up rods. Youre taking 2 women on a 3 day float you will probably need to tow another boat behind you for all thier gear!

  6. Would some consider this "hotspotting" for reels? What if the information was made public in this forum about where one might aquire one of the reels listed above. The whole fishing world may go to pot. Love my Hardy 4000 DD

  9. Looking for any recommendations on an outfitters/guides in the Ft lauderdale area. I have a couple days in early December... Ive seen an option for night fishing on a couple sites. Has anyone done a night trip and was it worth it? Thanks in advance Craig
  10. There is an A-Hole in every bunch, Although a shitty way to end ur day it wouldnt stop me from fishing where I want when I want. For every terrible BC experience im sure most of us can recount dozens of great ones. The commentary about British Columbians not liking us because of oil money and ragging on BC guides for LEGALLY guiding alberta waters are some of the reasons we get tha rap over there. Our (Alberta) regulations allow just about anybody that wants to call themselves guides to do so and be rewarded monitarily at OUR resources and Alberta guides expense. The Regulations and Licencing Fee structure in BC is not to hit Albertans in the pocket book. Its in place to ensure that a resource and resident guides are not exploited. If angling pressure increases so do revenues, that resouce will be sustained, and policed by CO's. When is the last time any of you called RAP and got a call back in under a day????Unfortunately for us Albertans our elected officials could give 2 shits about natural resources other than oil and gas. Its really up to us to continue to lobby for significant regulation changes in Alberta. They need to happen now! For both the fisheries themselves and our Albertan Guides, whom our elected officials allow to be robbed daily by non-resident guiding.
  11. Awesome! I love birds of Prey.. Been meaning to get down to the sanctuary.. I spent a day at the Pacific Northwest Birds of Prey Centre in Ducan last year.. Some pretty amazing creatures...
  12. I think thats the point! Spend an extra 200 and buy one... You'll always be able to find somebody to pay $300 for it.. After a few years those others are $50 reels
  13. I use my go pro all the time... Love it!! I have the head mount, suppose I look like a bit of a douche with it stuck up on my head but dont really care. I love it for the fact that I really never have to handle a fish and get more super sweet footage than you would man-handeling a posible fish of a lifetime. If you spey cast.. Im sure youve had times in the day when your cast completley brakes down.. I just put it on the bank behind me let er' roll.. Improved my Casting and eliminated hrs of frustration with a few minutes of video!
  14. I'd call the airline your travelling with and ask, provide dimesions to them. Most aircraft are equipped with a large closet up front for which allowable carry on luggae that will not fit in the overhead bins is for. You can also check it prior to boarding the aircraft itself, they call it sky check. It will be brought back out the the cabin door once you land... I do with my kids stollers all the time.
  15. Totally! 100% the best reel in its class bomb proof and super simple... in 50 years these will be the hardy reels that are so collectable now!
  16. Smitty, What rod are you planning to match the reel to and what will be your primary use of the reel?... Streamers, dry fly, nymphin do you plan to use on the bow, lakes, high country streams?
  17. Bought mine at Fish Tales... now that i have it I wouldnt fish without it! Handling of fish for your fish porn library is almost nill, it's now rare that I even need to touch the fish to get shots and the underwater capabilities are sick... it'll film full hd960 hd video i can get over 2hrs on a 16g type 6 card! also takes great pics.... i have a head mount and a mount for my toon, they comes with tha camera! here's some video in 720 hd yoube wont support tha 960... If youre on facebook here's another video from last monday the underwater portion is super sweet... if you nedd to add me to view im Craig Fruin http://www.facebook.com/index.php?lh=a1c88...150638628735290
