    Reels?

i have the hardy demon 5000...great reel! the cassettes are only twenty bucks..and it comes w/ three of them... fyi don't wind your backing really tight or you will warp the cassette (no matter what brand... they are all plastic) and it will be hard to take off. just light pressure for the backing and you will be fine. also the demon seemed heavy at first, but now i am liking the extra weight southbow has some you can check out before buying cheers
  3. I have been eyeing these wader for awhile now. I always wait a year after a "superior technology" hits the market to see how it performs. The guys using them say they do perform well. Looks like the zip-front model is an extra $100... Until I piss myself, I'll probably go with regular sonic pro's
  4. Are you looking for some tig bitties under here??
  5. FFdoc, Just make the trip to Wholesale Sports, Fishtales, or even Southbow. Well worth the drive. Staff will point you in the right direction and maybe share some goodflies with ya.
  6. Nice work...Its going to slay em' !! someone introduced me to a little green thing like that last year and it produces, slow retrieves or just a jiggle
  7. got me some 100% fluro and tying up some custom leaders here is a helpful link if anyone is interested...i have tweaked his suggestions for myself, but the point is tying leaders this way saves on the coin, a good fluro these day costs $15 each...going bulk i figured about .40 cents each http://www.onlinefishinglog.com/blog/20/Ha...ing-Fly-Leaders
  8. nice work. i agree we need signage along the bow..Keep on Rappin!

    Marabou

even with all the different brands/types out there you will still have to dig through the pack and find the extra-thin quills for these kind of streamers.... "materials are not created equal" inspect the marabou before purchasing..flyshops love and encourage this kind of behavior dido on the blood quills seem to be the best overall.
  10. i fish them galloup style.. no weight w/ sinking line

  15. Some more pigs on the bow and crow...Stellar October weather and fishing... (these are summer browns..double hook-up) cheers
  16. Good article, Taco. Below is a quote that sums it up. "You put brook trout in a stream and the cutthroats just disappear," he says. "They're so many brook trout in the West—that's why they're our leading candidate to poison." I am not familiar with Millennium Creek, but I do know a few streams struggling with over population of brookies.
  17. Expert? You said it was your first time! Do you have any pictures of the albino trout we were going after? Looking forward to some good winter fishing
