  1. Make sure you report this to the F+W along with the spot he was at. Regardless of what happens. I don't think your gonna get charged for it becuase if you do he'll also be charged with his offense - or else not have a court case against you (becuase it would be minus the facts)... I broke a couple of "ethnic" people's rods right in front of them and threw their stringer of 4 dead browns about 40 feet into the Bow once.... that's as crazy as I ever got ... lol
  2. LOL... yeah... hey I even took off my vest and threw it to the side becuase it had my snippers and other metal objects on it. Putting it on afterwards was like climbing into a presoaked cold wetsuit tho!!
  3. Dutch Creek, Racehorse Creek... also offer good fishing on the small creeks nearby, plus access to the larger fish of the Oldman and Livginstone is very close..
  4. Clive, That puppy ended up sliding into Calgary from the south at about 11pm me and greg were stranded in the middle of a feild becuase it came up on us so fast we couldnt make it to the car safely. We layed down flat in a low spot... and got our a$$es kicked by hail, wind, and hard rain, and had a lot of lightning directly above us, but thank goodness no ground strikes within about a mile from our position. It passed within 10 minutes... but man was it scary.. didn't wanna stand up..
  5. I honestly think it would be NO fun to fish, if you never lost fish. If every time I hooked "ironlips" I landed it... I wouldn't be so intrigued by this one fish. (Been chasing for 4yrs now, yet to have landed it, matter of fact, I've yet to keep it on the line more than 5 seconds)... Great, great thread......... Oh and in response to the initial question, I'm not gonna say I don't cuss a bit when I lose a particular fish I have been targeting, but it's not a pissed off type cuss, it's just a "Oh you biyotch!!! I will be back! Next time... ahahahaha" kinda like the bad guys in every movie that u know is gonna have a sequal.. lol
  6. I know where that sucker ended up Clive
  7. Good, cuase otherwise I'd have to come whoop yer a$$
  8. If that puddle your driving thru USED to be a mountain creek / stream.... no matter how many have abused it before you, if your out there going through it.......... I'll hold my comments until you tell me that's just a standing water area and not the little creek that used to flow down beside hwy 532.. or something like that... and go have a shower...
  9. The is one heck of a gorgeous colored, pristine, unpolluted, mountain water, SUCKER!!! LOL I love that you threw that in there!! Oh and geez my gosh on all the other fish posted here in this thread, nice fish guys!
  10. Cutting off the line = [priceless] I'd be impressed if someone could cast all my 3wt line on my St croix legend ultra rod. That would knock my socks off. I can max it at about 60feet. I use it where a 30 footer is the longest of the day by a long shot though. The only place I've had to fire a long cast was to some gulpers midstream on the Bow for caddis one night. **and it does set the hook good enough at 60ft by gosh**
  11. I spied on about 25 rising fish at Waterton last time I went with wife and kids. Now Im gonna go back someday with rod at the ready They were some really dang nice brookies I think.... might be wrong... they looked like brookies tho
  12. Been in their shop lots. Their commitment to excellence with their flies must surely overlap into their guiding. I'd recommend them..
  13. Rofl sorta like sume dumbarse truck driver on the CB in golden asking how far east from town is 10 mile hill... duhhhhhhh
  14. No no no ... i almost WISH it was her stomach doing the expansion and not mine. Full time trucking is adding in a few LB's..
  15. Remember that when your first thought upon seeing one 500 feet away on stream is to run..... never, ever run no matter if the bears 15 feet or 1000 feet away and is aware of you...
  16. Rusty, if what you say is true about the NHL coverage on sirius going by the wayside... mine will be gone and XM will be in... without hesitation. I got the thing so I could listen to Flames games when I'm in idaho, or somewhere... etc..
  17. LOL... did it see my router over there? My router has more air miles than a lot of folks I know
  18. I feel your pain brother... I feel your pain...
  19. You just won my utmost respect I've done the same thing... mostly in jasper.... banff has there wildlife fences now and I never see a daggone thing anymore there...
  20. I see my wife made it to the Park recently.............
  21. Nothing can top a cosmic sunset........ and sunrises happen to early for me
  22. You've convinced me to spend the money and hit that place for a day... Heck I only live 30 minutes from it... I think if the police lake regs go through... we'll have the same hawgs out there as well... for public use..
  23. Oh and no one said it yet, but hookup is a cinch. Plug in cig lighter. Plug in antenna cord, slap on the roof of your car the antenna section (it's magnetic). Then tune your FM radio in your CAR to 88.1 fm ... (you can change what frequency you want to use to broadcast on in your actual sirius unit, so if you wanted to broadcast on 100.1 or something go ahead, then tune your car radio FM receiver to 100.1 to pick up what's playing on your sirius unit)... easy as pie.
  24. I have sirius in my big rig. I think I would have died of boredom by now if I didn't have one. They have some good country stuff Lynn channels 60-64, or is it 60 to 65 now? You also get some good classic rock, mellow rock type station which are great too. (channel 10 or 15), and you can rock out to 80's hair bands on channel 23 LOL Blue Collar comedy is a riot too channel 103 Git R Done!!
  25. Amen. Once I slowed down and figured out what it means to really enjoy a day of fly fishing... I've never looked back. I used to count and keep stats religiously. Now I can't remember if I got 6 or 7 or 5 the last time I hit the river for an hour, but spending time with an old friend (a finned one) was priceless... Not that I caught it.. but I did spend some time with it.. it enjoyed my company for a short while before spitting the hook again.. must have been the 6th time I personally have hooked and lost this fish.. (damn that fish, it's still there this year, prob close to 30" for those who know which fish and which river I speak of).. but truth be told, I think I just really enjoy just getting out, and meeting new people, and being by a river rejuvenates me... now again when I get to the river I am giddy with anticipation of fishing it...
