  1. I like to take the breasts, brine them and then spread one side of the breast with herb and garlic cream cheese and some sliced jalapenos roll them up and then cover with a slice of bacon and throw them on the bbq or in the oven. Always works well for snacks or appys
  2. Even the days of the old forum are long gone.
  3. This thread is going to get derailed so bloody fast... Having said that... Escort passports have always worked well but they've also been bought south of the border and cost a bit more then $200.
  4. Awesome video thanks for posting that!
  5. Just curious if anyone has been up the trunk road from 1A to nordegg is it open all the way, all I can see on Alberta511 is that hunter valley road is closed and that highway 40 is open to 579 (Water valley) I'm curious about north of that intersection all the way north to nordegg can you travel it or is there still a closed section? Thanks!
  6. Ya I'm strictly thinking about using it for camping a few nights just trying to weigh if the unit cost plus $100 year seems about right for probably only 10 uses this summer.
  7. Just out of curiosity how many people use a SPOT gps messenger? I was thinking about buying one to give the wife peace of mind sometimes when I'm gone but I'm not entirely sold on their contracts. Anyone have any insight into these units or is there something better out there for the odd check in message or trip tracking?
  8. Happy birthday Peter
  9. I miss troutfitters being there and I would gladly support a fly shop opening in the NW Again.
  10. Truck outfitters or Raven are good places to start they sell all name brands and can get you a variety of options, depends what kind you're looking for

  15. Awesome! Lovin the cutties.
  16. I read that this evening as well what a bunch of scum bags. I like how they point how there is no cell phone reception below the hill, as if that wont draw more attention from other poachers reading it as well... Horrible regardless.
  17. General Grabber AT2's. Much happier then the BF TKO's and the Wrangler Silent armors I had before. plus a bit cheaper. I would recommend a look at them.
  18. Haha right a piece of "Chinook"... mmmm bull trout. Just kidding nice fish.

  25. Ive fished clear a few times this year and had pretty good success in numbers but nothing of any substantial size, but what I have noticed in the last few trips has been the poachers...Fishing at the north end around evening time twice now I've seen two different trucks pull up off the road, fish for 20 minutes catch a pike (that sure look less then 100cm from a distance off the shore in the boat), fillet it on the shore get in their truck and drive away. Both times I've called it in but I haven't been able to catch the license plates on the trucks from a distance only the make and model which proves to be somewhat futile. How badly does this lake get slaughtered throughout the year is my other question...Regulations are one thing, enforcement is another.
