    Tooldude sent me a copper john. So naturally I attempted to reproduce it. Turns out you really do need medium or large wire. Looks good though. Snap to tie.

    Coalbranch ruuules. It was all new to me, but I still had some success on some small water. A lot of it was fishless (or seemed to be?). But some of those creeks are chock full of trout

    If I have to go to a 20-22 I may not bother. I found a #18 in my desk and tried tying a spinner with it. Too small for my skillz. I figure it's a lost cause

    Another vote for TXL. Sweet rod. 3wt is your best option, because you don't have to be afraid of taking on 3-4lb fish with it. Just in case
