  1. Thanks to Dryfly and Missinthebow!! By the way, I just blew through $2000.00 today. Wow is all I can say, and thank you.
  2. You're all wrong. It's the Livingstone. Sucka will be unfishable for years. That's just horrible.
  3. Funny. Decision making process: 1. I could choose some hot chick 2. I could choose someone who's work I admire and pick his/her brain about their craft 3, I could choose someone with a, ummm, hobby similar to mine Seems like Tommy matches 2 and 3. If you could get him to bring his daughter, 1 gets covered as well! Edit: I meant Jayhad's decision making process.
  4. Here ya go Angus! Bottom of page 1: Stache of Trash Max, thanks for the review! I would add that it can turn the head of a pretty big fish as well. Lots of power in the butt end! And who doesn't like that?
  5. No problem buddy. Couldn't stop telling them if I tried! Hope either the Saints or the Tigers give you some joy next year as neither are likely to this year! All the best in your next assignment! Hope it gives me a nice city to come visit!!
  6. Many thanks to Headscan and Osprey! Here is the latest shot:
  7. Folks, Edit 11/28: Rod is sold for $250.00 to Golfman09 Current bid on MTB's Flies is $70.00 by Troutlover (can someone else buy these, I don't need him catching more fish than me because of superior gear) Last spring I got to test a prototype rod for Wayne Hanson. The rod was a fast action 9 ft 4 pc 6 wt. I was fortunate enough to be able to test it out on many large fish and loved the power of the rod and how I was able to turn fish much easier than I was able to with my TFO. It was also able to cast some fairly heavy nymph rigs and streamers with ease, and significantly further than with my old rod. When the test was over, I did not want to give it back. Fortunately, when I gave it back Wayne gave me one of the first production versions and it has been my Bow River rod ever since. I absolutely love it. I know Max has used it, and had good things to say about it. I hope he will post them here. Since then, it has become a top selling rod a Hanson's, selling for around $350.00. Wayne graciously gave me one to put up for my Prostrate Cancer Research fund raiser. Here is how this will work. I will put this rod up for auction starting now until this Wed at 10 PM. The winner will then donate the total bid to my fundraising site, and will get a tax receipt for the total. This will be completely tax deductible, and would make a great xmas present Details: The rod is called a XStreme Travler. I would call it a medium fast (to fast) action 4 pc 6 wt. It is also available in a 5wt if you like. It is IM8 graphite rod designed with the bow river in mind. It is a fantastic nymphing and streamer rod. I have used it for dries as well with good success. It comes with the rod tube shown. I would like the bidding to start at $100.00. Post your bids on this thread please. Thanks and good luck. Edit 11/26: MTB has added 25 of his killer flies and a fly box to be auctioned separately from the rod. This auction will end at 8 PM on Friday (thanks Brett!!)
  8. Awesome Lynn. Thank you very much. Edit: And you too Marc! The generosity of people here continues to amaze me.
  9. Thanks to Taco and Bobloblaw for their contributions. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. Lynn, best of luck to your neighbor.
  10. I was going for a bit mean, unpredictable, and therefore mysterious in a subtle attempt to make me your favorite. Unfortunately, I think I came off as needy and creepy. *hit. However, have I told you I am unbelievably smokin' hot with my new 'stache?
  11. Piss off, it works great. Now leave my mother alone.
  12. Mom? What the hell are you doing at Tacos house? And why were you honking at poor defensless Lynn? Sounds like she scarred a couple of kids for life. I've told you about that damn horn. Enough random paragraphs? LE, Uh, not a MILF.
  13. BBT, Olympus has the burst mode too, at least mine does (725SW I think). They are both great camera's. If I were buying again I would go to a true camera store that has both, take them both outside on a very sunny day, and see which one I can see the screen best on. Then I'd buy that one. BTW, I have beaten the crap out of my Olympus. Whatever, can't go wrong either way.
  14. And I thought I was sarcastic!
  15. Dude, where ya been? By the way, just so you know, to us Chaparralians, Sundance is the other side of the tracks. Is there any evidence that triploid brookies, or tiger trout would eat perch. Though the would be cool regardless.
  16. Maybe, but Gillies also had it's share of eye candy as well!
  17. Man, you're a bit young to be getting so grumpy!
  18. Though I want to send you a verbal jab over the East Texas line (totally uncalled for), but as one who has has back spasms, I feel for ya old man. Can't say I've ever had a cow step on me, or if I have, I was too drunk to remember.
  19. Wow, didn't know I could feel such jealousy over some fish. Learn something new every day I guess. Awesome trip, better story.
