  1. Hey Trailhead, best wishes on a full and speedy recovery. I hope you got the idiot drivers plate number and passed it on to the RCMP.
  2. @ kinwashkly. I really like the second chronie. Would you be willing to share the recipe?
  3. Thanks for that Don. Sobering indeed. I used to live in BC. What their logging practices did to fish and wildlife habitat is truly disgusting. The govt response was to punish recreational users, not logging companies.
  4. It may have been an otter. But if I had to bet money, I'd bet it was likely a mink. In know, if you have seen both, there is no mistaking one for the other. Beeker
  5. This, all the time!! What about the tax payers connection to the land!!! Done, filled out today. Beeker
  6. Good question cgyguy. I'd like to know how to do it right as well. Beeker
  7. @ tallieho1 Thanks, I hope it's true. Beeker
  8. Hi Don, I was referring to the systems used at Muir, Fiesta, etal, that was supposed be safer (i.e.stop people falling in the hole in the ice) . I read on here and else where that is was new for last winter due alleged legal concerns. Am I incorrect? Beker
  9. Does anyone know if the same aeration system that was such disaster last winter is being used again this winter? Surely the gov't isn't that stupid. Beeker
  10. Holy Cow!!! 111 views and nobody knows anything. Heck, I'd even settle for a rumor. Mike??? Beeker
  11. Hey All, does anybody know what happened to the Alberta fly fishing forum? Their site has been down for at least 10 days. Thx. Beeker
  12. I have polarized prescription (progressive bi-focals) sunglasses in a kind of dark amber/rose tint. They are a partial wrap-around style. I love them for fishing, driving, etc. They cost me just under $300 at ...............Costco. I don't know what brand they are, but the fish don't seem to be offended, yuk yuk. Beeker
  13. rickr, I know of that affliction of which you speak. I just assumed that since so many of us have it that it's OK. It's OK, right? RIGHT? I better go tie some more SJWs. That will make me feel better. Beeker Good luck in BC (Bring Cash)
  14. Hi Brunsie, HPK, The replacement G2 reel arrived today. Thank you very much. With a little luck I'll get to try it out on Wedensday. I have to say the new G2 version looks and feels like a very nice reel. Thanks again. Beeker P.S. The Hwy 24 trip to BC was a bit of a bust. Cool, very wet and an insane amount of skitters. Fishing was very slow.
  15. HPK, Brunsie, Thanks for helping out. I haven't been on here for a couple of days. The joys of shift work. Plus packing up to head out to the "Fishing Highway" in BC. Leaving in the morn. Thanks again. Beeker
  16. Ooops. Web site is "info@". So I sent one to "sales@" Thx again rickr
  17. Thanks rickr. I tried that one too, via their web-page. But no one answered. Beeker
  18. Thanks Brunsie, I'll give that a try. I tried "sales-manager" at someone elses suggection and I never got the "un-deliverable" message. On the the other hand I never got an e-mail back either. I wonder where it went? Beeker
  19. Turns out, even without the /, it's still "undeliverable". Anybody got any suggestions. Later. Beeker
  20. Hi Brunsie, That e-mail address came back as "undeliverable". I tried the one on their web page (june 9th), but so far no reply. Thx. Beeker
  21. Hey Gaffer, WSS offers, I believe, 90 days for money back. So I was way past that when the second reel croaked. I thought Amundson would try to satisfy me through their warranty program and that the cost diff issue would be between Amundson and WSS. After all Amundson must have convinced WSS somewhere along the line to retail their products. If I'm running WSS and Amundson unloads a bunch of defective reels on me, then I'm going to be annoyed because if I sell their unreliable products, then it reflects on my company as well. As for real cost to Amundson, if a reel retails for $150, what is A's cost per reel. I'll bet it's less than for $50. They admitted they had issues with those reels, but wanted to make me pay their cost for a replacement. They've made an offer (see Brunsie's post) to make amends. We'll see how it goes. BTW, I have the #6 WW Stillwater for chronie fishing and I like it alot. It handles Swan lake Turbo 'bows quite nicely thank you. Later. Beeker
  22. @ Brunsie, Thanks, I will do that. @ rickr, I'm not normally that cranky. I just felt I had been taken advantage of. No hard feelings. I'll let you all know how I make out now that Amundson wants a second chance. Beeker
