Cool - Natural or invasive?

i did up a quick one, but I didn't like it too much. I'm out of practice on the big streamers. I'll be retying it.

I like the claret. I do an orange butt version, but haven't tied them for a while. Nice ties.

I use the wire to secure the hackle down. You wind the wire in the opposite direction from the hackle and it is bound at many points. It gives it more durability, and if the hackle does break, it is still very fishable. Keep at it, and keep posting your flies. you will be surprized how much you improve over time.

Looks pretty good. Use a 6/0 or 3/0 thread to spin the hair. Thinner thread will just slice through and break before you have ample tension. The tail looks a bit out of proportion.
