lorney Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Caught this nice looking Bow down south. Pretty small water. Was a nice suprise because I normally only see cutties up this far. I won't reveal what I caught him on. Sorry SupremeLeader but I am enjoying everybody's pics lately and thought I would throw one on. Quote
jksnijders Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Was wondering if you were gonna put that up... Nice again. Quote

TerryH Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Great looking fish, but are you sure it's not a cutbow? Terry Quote
Bigtoad Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I'm not really sure if we can count anything caught while nymphing on a cuttie stream, regardless of how big and nasty that fish may be? Sick fish. I'm salivating.... Quote
Hawgstoppah Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 That honestly looks like a fish that got outta the crow and found it's way to wherever it was that you got it. Fantastic looking fish Quote
MMAX Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 If you won't reveal what you caught him on how about the next best thing...where did you catch him? Good looking rainbow. Quote
SNAPFisher Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Oh yeah! This post is well titled. This is one nice looking bow alright. Congrats! Quote
lorney Posted August 24, 2009 Author Posted August 24, 2009 Thanks for the comments guys. Beed: That was exactly what I was thinking when I landed him. Definately a different shape to his head than most rainbows I catch. Shaped like some of those big old browns the guys pull out of the bow. Terry: definatley didn't have any slashes under the jaw like the cutties. Looked all rainbow to me but I could be wrong. Didn't hold him too long to study him. Couple pics and right back in. Quote
TerryH Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 ..............Terry: definatley didn't have any slashes under the jaw like the cutties. Looked all rainbow to me but I could be wrong. Didn't hold him too long to study him. Couple pics and right back in. You're probably right. It was the yellowish colour and the jaw that got me thinking maybe cuttbow. I landed a nice male cutty in BC last week that had the same jaw. However, as I look back at some of my Crowsnest bow pictures, I tend to agree with Hawg. Anyway, regardless, that is one damn nice fish, especially for small water. Terry Quote
Jayhad Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 wicked fish good on you keep em coming I am now away from water for 6 weeks Quote
SteveM Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 That 'bow looks like a bigger version of one that I caught -TWICE! Pulled him outta the same spot 2 weekends in a row... Very similar shape(deep-bodied) & spotting. First pic was taken on a cloudy day, second on a bright, sunny day; 99% sure it's the same fish in both pics. Quote
