Go for Golden's, and do a heli-trip.

I am probably SOL this year for a Golden heli-trip but next year would be a go. If it were a one day trip I may be able to do that this year. If anyone organizes one I would be a very strong maybe.

My ultimate goal this year is to land a salmon shark. I am going to try it this fall. I hooked a big one last year but the guide had a 3 foot steel leader for a 180 pound 7 foot long shark... Ops...I can hear the line snapping now.

It was at the Queen Charlottes. Some sharks like dogfish just twist and roll in your line. Blue sharks can put up a bit of a fight but the fight the salmon sharks gave us last fall was second to none. It was literally like that video of them dudes testing fly reels using a motorcycle. You can not stop them. Look up salmon shark fishing on youtube. Some really neat videos. They sometimes jump and are closely related to the Mako and Great White. They commercial fish them in the Atlantic but in the Pacific the Alaskan government is just starting to study them as a commercial fish.

I will definitely try and take some video and pics.
