dryfly Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 So at the end of tonight's weather, Dave Spence shows the expected YYC temps over the next while, and the graph sorta looks like the one below. Everyone groans on camera and off camera. And Barb Higgins pipes up and says, "Hey, that looks like the Calgary Flames record." It was funny at the time. Maybe you had to see it. Quote
snakeman Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Haha! But fear not flames fans, they have just been bitten with a bit of bad luck. With genius Keenan behind the bench, the brick-wall bargain Kiprusoff in goal, and superstars like Kristian Huselius and Owen Nolan, things will get better soon and in no time they'll be on their way to playing for the Stanley Cup just as all the experts predicted. Guest bigbadbrent Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Is it edmontons plan to bomb, just till Tavares arrives? or is that just a side affect of sucking? Quote

snakeman Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Is it edmontons plan to bomb, just till Tavares arrives? or is that just a side affect of sucking? Check the standings dude I think Edmonton's plan was to initiate a youth movement while staying competitive, whereas Calgary with their supposed great line-up and new coach were expected by most 'experts' to make a deep run into the playoffs. edit: obviously the season is relatively young, and I'm not saying that Calgary's hopes to be a cup contender are gone, but I don't think bottom feeding was part of their plan. Taco Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Yeah sumthin's wrong... It ain't even near the playoffs and they're chokin' already. Quote

rusty Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 3-1 win tonight - outside of the first 10 minutes they looked great. Good to see Huselius get one too. Gotta admire the way the Oil have played lately though. Quote
