Getting late in th season too...that fact and Lower temperatures in general have got to play into it as well, no?

well ya, changes in relative humidity, evapotranspiration, trees losing leaves onto duff etc etc.. surprising amount of info goes into those funky little fire danger signs on the way into the forest reserve

Unfortunately the OHV ban is also lifted. Was so nice and quiet while it lasted.

Interesting, thanks for the background on the fire rating science gents. Glad to hear the fire ban is lifted, I like my fishing buddies but they aren't cuddle worthy.

Where does it say campfires our now allowed in campsites? Thanks for any info. Have annual cutty Classic/rumdrinking extravaganza planned for next weekend, and a real campfire is a total bonus.

Right here....fire "restriction"...so fires are allowed in fire rings at campgrounds. Don't steal the firewood I hid!!!

I found the area in question. Pete's camp looks to be just on the good side of the cutoff near Pincher Cr MD.
