RunnyD Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 A few years ago I stiffened up a mottled turkey feather to use as wing cases for stoneflies. Well I've used up the last of that feather and need to do another. Does anyone remember what I used to lacquer the feather? I don't think it was head cement as I assume it would make the feather brittle. Flexament perhaps? What do you guys use? Quote
murray Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 I use Dave's flexament. Coat the underside of the feather. Quote
SilverDoctor Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Dave's Flexament works great but lately I have been using Shoo Goo. Quote

Brunsie Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Go to an art shop and get Fixitif. Comes in a spray can and is used for sealing charcoal/pencil drawings. Pricey but a can will last years. BK Quote
