screaminreel Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 I want to install rubber floors in my Hyde on the casting decks. What is everyone using and where can I find them? I found some real heavy duty mat's at Industrial Plastics and paint which is very heavy weight wise. These are for a pick up bed but maybe there is an alternative? Found the interlocking rubber with holes at Canuck tire but they are too soft and flimsy. Everything else I have seen is pretty thin or very slippery. Thanks Quote
fishinglibin Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 If I recall, a friend got a product at princess auto. Quote
cgyguy Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Does Hyde not have these for sale through their website? Might want to check out www.hydeoutdoors.com Cheers Quote
jdangler Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Got mine from Clackacraft during the Fly fishing Expo a couple of years ago. They are on their website. Quote
Brunsie Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Hey screamer We used the interlocking stuff from crappy tire and glued it down with contact cement. Had it in the old boat for 4 or 5 years and you saw it in the Spratley. Just don't buy the stuff with the carpet on one side as it doesn't last. BK Quote
screaminreel Posted April 8, 2015 Author Posted April 8, 2015 Thanks all. I found some from a buddy that owns a hockey skill center. These are the workout/hockey mats. Free is good too! 1 Quote
brokentippet Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 With the exchange rate being 28 cents on the dollar I wouldn't be buying from hyde. there 499 boat cover just cost me 750. I saw some lighter duty garage matting at Costco. Are you putting it for comfort or cleats ? Quote
