Guest ArtVandelay Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Happy New Year FFC! I hope you enjoy This was taken on the coldest day of 2014 back in November, -30 C, Flying e road. Another from the same trip, a kilometre or two up the road: This is one of my favorites from this past summer. There were actually 6 magpies around this hawk as he ate his lunch as if they weren't there. After about 10 minutes he took off with the scraps in his talons, not leaving a morsel for the poor magpies. Taken somewhere east of Olds: Waiparous Valley Viewpoint...the first shot taken with my new lens, Canon 70-300 L (awesome lens!) North of Airdrie: A Great Grey, from Grand Valley Rd, northwest of Cochrane: I haven't had much time for post processing but more to come soon. Neil 9 Quote

murray Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 The owl picture is my favorite. All very nice shots though. Quote
SteveM Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Phenomenal series of shots, good sir! Every pic is excellent, but I really like the simplicity of the frosted trees against the blue sky. Quote
TMLhammy Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Awesome pictures - I thought I had seen an owl around Cochrane as well. The picture of the owl is just unreal. Quote
