Hello zuggbugg. Cool that you joined and from the Netherlands. Have you fished Canada many times, as you said again. Those are beautiful locations. Have you ever fished the Bow? What is your favorite species to fish at home, and what type of variety you have ? My wife has been there, but I have not. Just Curious. Regards Paul

Hello Paul,

This summer will be the 13th time for us in Canada. I've fished a lot but never the bow river because we usually head straight into the mountains. Over here i fish for trout aswell in lake Oostvoorne, its brakish water that has mainly rainbow and brown trout in it. There are a lot of different species of fresh water fish one could fly fish for but that's not for me, i'd rather hook a nice trout.

Grtzzz,

I appreciate that Tom. The mountains are wonderful, and trout is my choice as well. I still fish other species, but trout is it. Post how the trip went, when done. Regards Paul

Will do Paul, we'll be over from july 24 until August 21. When we get back i'll let you know how i did. Hopefully i can report a new personal record and wouldn't it be sweet if i catch it on one of my home tied flies ;)

To learn that the roads and bridges have been repaired to my little slice of heaven, return and see what has changed and that the cutts are still there.

My dream fishing destination is not just the destination, but also having the time.

South Island New Zealand........but spending 3 months+ exploring and getting into the back country.
