monger
First time to the beach on the east side of the Island. The streams are very low and warm this year and the salmon were not showing themselves. Finally a few fish showed up cruising off the beach and I was able to get a fly in front of one. Very respectable fight for a fish of around 4lb and I got to see quite a bit of backing. I could see beach fishing getting pretty addictive. Hopefully nothing has happened to the fish and they continue to show up in the days ahead. Not a bad meal on the BBQ either

RedBeard
Beauty! I was a little too early this year for beach fishing in qualicum and parksville, but next year I'll be there at this time!!
