ÜberFly Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Yes you dare! They are elusive! Only a few on here have acutally caught one!! A few more have seen them! They do exist!! Jury is still out on whether they eat the brains of those who do catch them... Quote
monger Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 Zombie's are X-fish that only troutlover and I have been able to land thus far. If you work at it you can join the club. Troutlover's was a fine burbot and mine only a boring rainbow. Quote
Muffin Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Hmmm makes sense why Rick has never caught one as they are attracted to brains and I often wonder about Rick's sanity. *kidding* Quote
reevesr1 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Good one Muffin! I wonder about my sanity as well. Do a search for Zombie on this website. The story of troutlover catching it was pretty humorous. here they are: http://flyfishcalgary.com/board/index.php?showtopic=17087&hl=burbot http://flyfishcalgary.com/board/index.php?showtopic=17133&hl=zombie&do=findComment&comment=155806 Quote
Muffin Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Haha oh wow those are a couple of great threads. Thanks for re-posting them. It is a pretty illusive club. While ice fishing this weekend we managed to catch another rod. The guys beside us came over and claim they lost that rod last year. It is possible as they did know the brand of the rod and also we were both fishing not to far from the put in point so pretty common spot. Not a dead fish on a fly but still pretty impressive. Quote
troutlover Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 im just posting so everyone can see the huge brown I'm holding in my profile picture......"netboy" with the purtty face ,,,,nice one. LOL. Quote
monger Posted March 16, 2013 Author Posted March 16, 2013 You Chaparral guys obviously own the big browns in this river. Perhaps one day I could tag along with you guys as your team photographer. You can blindfold me so I don't learn where secret spot #3799 is. How long can we stretch this stupid thread out for..... Quote
Muffin Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Oh really is that what justifies a Brown now? It looks more like bait compared to the beast I am holding in my picture. Just kidding I would love to catch a brown like that some day. Quote
troutlover Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 I'm cheating mines from the red deer river Quote
RedBeard Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I think I caught a Bow brown once *Rainbrown you mean Quote
