I am just curious and not trying to be a smart ass, but how does one go about losing a rod? I can see a net, a box of flies, heck even a person's sanity/patience when fishing but a rod and reel seems tricky.

Easy if you have a couple of rods on a pontoon boat and you don't have enough rod holders and lay the 2nd rod down ( eh Gil!!!!)

One friend had his dog knock it out of the boat. There is also canoe capsize. Over the years I have found three rods.

3 wow, I guess when you stop and consider the boat factor and people/animals knocking it over the edge it makes sense.

It's an older Sage, hopefully that jogs some memories.

 

I'd really like to get this returned to it's owner. I left a rod on the bank three weeks ago, and had it back in my hands the same day. So now it's my turn.
