Smitty Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Jesus! Now that's a big fish. About 9 lbs? (Not that it matters, just trying to hone my stellar internet estimating skills...lol). Way to go! Cheers, Smitty Quote
monger Posted July 12, 2012 Author Posted July 12, 2012 Smitty you are too generous...more like 5lb Quote

monger Posted July 12, 2012 Author Posted July 12, 2012 Just a rubber jig I use on my Flippin' stick. There's no secret flies...just how/where you use them Quote
bhurt Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Sweet fish rob, hows the spey treating you? When we going fishin? Quote
monger Posted July 12, 2012 Author Posted July 12, 2012 I've been stuck fishing stupid lakes for tiny fish...no spey rod for me since April. Spey rod in a float tube, that would be something new. Maybe it would be good for long leaders. My spey experience is extremely limited Quote
bhurt Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Rob, I know what you mean I haven't picked up my spey since the spring time dry (Been using my single hander for dries) Anytime u wanna get out you know how to get a hold of me. Quote
Hawgstoppah Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 sweet fish. I too thought it would run a bit more than 5lbs, it's what, at least 23 inches, probably more, and FAT. My guess is 7-8lbs. Of course from pics it's extremely hard to tell. I've seen fish taped at 30 that look like babies in pics, and fish taped at 24 that you swear in the pic are 30's! LOL Quote
