DonAndersen Posted April 7, 2011 Author Posted April 7, 2011 Guys, Thanks for the pointers. I've fished the same lake as John K. last June on my way to Manitoba. Was as good as he said. Not a lot of fish but good ones. Don Quote
McLeod Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Don , went to Piprell last year and caught lost of Browns , Splake and Rainbows. Narrow hill has lots of trout lakes..The gems in narrow hills are nice but never got a chance to fish them Based on what I have read you may be better off just to head to Sheddy's lakes in Manitoba as the regs on those special lakes produce some awesome fish. TerryH Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Don, you might want to talk to some of the people in the Kilpatrick Flyfishing Club in Saskatoon. Their website is Kilpatrick Flyfishers. Their forum is at http://www.kilpatrickflyfishers.com/about-...scussion-forum/ Quote
DonAndersen Posted April 8, 2011 Author Posted April 8, 2011 Guys, Just looking @ some lakes c/w camping that I can spend some time on when traveling <>Manitoba. Prefer lakes from Pr. Al. > Alberta. Know about Manitoba. Was there in 2004 and last year. Going again this year. Don Quote
Bigtoad Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Don, what you need to do is invite all of the regional fisheries biologists along with you this summer on your way to Manitoba. Perhaps then we would see more of the shift in thinking that we're looking for... cheers. Quote
DonAndersen Posted April 8, 2011 Author Posted April 8, 2011 Bigtoad, Such trips have been tried in the past w/o success. Leading a horse to water doesn't mean he'll drink. Don Quote
