darrinhurst Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Don't mean to steal the thread, but didn't think it worth to start yet another "it's not butt ass cold out, YAY" thread. Went out afterwork to brave the wind. Wind died down a tad, and thanks to the high bank, the wind at my back, the casting wasn't bad at all. Water was quite dirty from all the warm weather. On my way down I could see that Fish Creek was nice and dirty, so I wasn't all that surprised to see that the visibility wasn't that great. My night very closely came to an abrupt end when on my second cast, I hung up on bottom and couldn't get it loose. Had to bust it off and lost the whole rig. Temper almost got the better of me (third time its happened in the last two trips) and almost called it a night. Thankfully I didn't, and my reward was a nice brown of about 18". Had another on, but lost it. Appeared to be foul hooked, but couldn't tell for sure. Good evening to be out. Looking forward to going again in the morning Quote

monger Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Good show Gary. I was below you a ways and fooled some more fish with the spey rod. One rainbow I got was getting really dirty. The spring sex party is coming soon.... Quote
ggp Posted March 31, 2011 Author Posted March 31, 2011 I just had to take advantage of the great weather the last couple of day, so off to the river I went.....Most of this winter the fish I caught where either browns, or whitefish, with the occasional sucker thrown in for good luck , however the last few times out it's been all bows....Water visibility today was quite poor.....A big old bow river leech has been my best fly over the last couple of days, but I did get a few on midges yesterday. robert Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Was down at fish creek today for a couple of hours, first time out this spring. Never expected to catch anything, nor did I but man it was nice to get the rust out of the arm. Beautiful day til the wind picked up. Great fish porn btw, keep it coming! Quote
