Jayhad Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Those new ones that read bar codes and can prep any coffee are becoming the rage Quote
SanJuanWorm Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Those new ones that read bar codes and can prep any coffee are becoming the rage Tassimo. Coffee is expensive for these machines though. Buy a french press. Makes wicked coffee. Quote
flyfishy Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 try star bucks ,it a buck and half . or buy a Keurig GOOD TO GO ! cash and coffee is KING. me. Quote
Boris Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Tassimo or Keurig, Tassimo has Starbucks, Keurig has Timmy's. We have the Tassimo and love it, I don't know what the cost of the coffee is, my wife buys it but whatever it is, it's worth it for the convenience. Quote
ÜberFly Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Espresso is great, except for one thing... It's a hell of a lot of work! I guess that's where those single use machines come in, but from what I understand the per cup costs are high! Mike, you might want to check out Consumer Reports down at the library (or online, I think), they have reviewed Espresso machines through the years and rank them... P *edit* But she wants what she wants Quote
cheeler Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I have a Hamilton Beach espresso machine that I picked up @ Future Shop last year that has served me well and wasn't too expensive. We did do a test of Flavia, Keurig, and Tassimo machines at work for the new office, and the Keurig won both on taste and ease of use. You can also buy special cups that allow you to use your own coffee. Quote
Tungsten Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 Thanks all, I'm thinking more along the lines of a combination machine,so normal coffee machine on one side and the espresso on the other. Quote
Weedy1 Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 So where do you guys get your nails done? Quote
jack Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Weedy: Read this a day or three ago and emailed "The Kid"(also known as "Food Boy") who is the coffee "connoisseur" of the family, asked his thoughts: "There's really only delonghi and krups very comparable in that 130.00 , but realistically cheaper espresso machines (which combos are) are pretty crappy, and they take a long time to brew. They will get the job done but its not quick like at a coffee shop. Most would be disappointed. That's why I want to upgrade to a saeco espresso machine, 30 second espresso, sweet." j Quote
