  1. Thanks to this forum for recommending Honda West. Went in to kick some tires, walked out with a new Pilot. Thanks guys!! If you want a new Honda, see Darrin & Craig. They now have a used 06 Accord sedan that I would not hesitate to recommend to someone looking for a used car, best car we ever owned, we just outgrew it.
  2. Disregard my snow tire statement. You are to blame.
  3. I'm blaming last nights snowfall on all you people that swapped out your snow tires last weekend.
  4. Here is our setup... Truck & Trailer Here is the boat loading unit... Load IT Industries granted it won't work for a drift boat, but it works for our needs.
  5. Well look at that, we actually rode together in Waiporous and subsequent lunch & beers in the Cochrane hotel. SJW is a pain over here too.
  6. Tassimo or Keurig, Tassimo has Starbucks, Keurig has Timmy's. We have the Tassimo and love it, I don't know what the cost of the coffee is, my wife buys it but whatever it is, it's worth it for the convenience.
  7. The question is, would you pee on them if they were on fire?
  8. I'm going through the process right now. The adjuster came over, said I need new roof, eavestroughs, downspouts, siding on the west side and 1 window re-glazed. They are in the process of putting the new roof on. I was away when the storm hit and didn't think much of it until I saw the siding on the neighbours house. Took a look at mine and saw 1 hole. I called insurance, told them about the hole in the siding but wanted them to look at the remainder of the house for damage. They sent over an appraiser, he was the one that called me and told me about all the damage and that the insurance company would contact me. Insurance called me and said that I could get my own quotes which would have to be approved by them or go with thier 'exterior' contractor which they have been using for 20 years and they would take care of all the damage. To me, it was the easiest solution and assumed that if they have been partners for 20 years the quality of work should be adequate. The thing I don't like about the process is they're not able to give me a schedule. The bundles of shingles sat on the roof for 3 weeks before the roofers showed up. I have no idea as to when the remainder of the items will be repaired but I can't really complain as it is being taken care of (so far) and they could'nt have picked a better time to do the roof. Feel free to pm me and I can give you details about the name of insurance company and exterior contractor.
  9. We're camping at Beaver Flats this weekend and want to get the kids fishing. We usually go to Allen Bill but haven't tried 'Maclean' or 'Forget me Not' ponds. I don't really want to take the Powderface to 'Sibbald'. So if you had a choice, which would it be, Maclean or Forget me Not?
  10. Hi all, does anybody know someone reputable in the eavestrough business? I need the corners re-sealed and don't want to climb up there and risk life & limb. Thanks
  11. My 7 year old loves to fish. We have family that live on Crystal Lake in Okotoks. I'm teaching him how to cast with the fly rod and he's doing pretty good for a 7 yr old. I caught a few in the 16 / 18 inch range and he didn't catch any. He said 'Dad, can I get my old rod out of the car and fish with a bobber?' I reluctantly obliged (I think you know where this is going), set him up with the bobber and powerbait. Wham, 24 incher and bragging rights for the rest of the weekend. Little bugger
  12. Congrats, we have a 24 foot Komfort and are very happy with it. Oldman and Dutch Creek have trailer accessible sites. Beauvais Lake probably has the easiest access. We've camped at Beaver Mines & Chinook Lake with ours and have had no problems getting in and out.
  13. Wife bought me some 'Northern Sport Aquanova' for Christmas, I've never even heard of it. She said the guy at Hansen's said it was good line. Anybody ever try it?
  14. Tiger Woods is so rich he owns many expensive cars. Now he has a hole in one. What's the difference between a car and a golf ball? Tiger can drive a ball 400 yards. Tiger Woods wasn't seriously injured in the crash, but he's still below par. What were Tiger Woods and his wife doing out at 2.30am? They went clubbing. Tiger Woods crashed into a fire hydrant and a tree. He couldn’t decide between a wood and an iron. Ping just offered Elin Woods an endorsement contract for her own set of drivers. Their sales pitch will be: Elin Woods..."clubs you can beat Tiger with." Tiger just changed his nickname but still kept it in the cat family--his new name: Cheetah Since Tiger drives an Escalade, can he blame the accident on his caddy? and Outrun Elin game
  15. Does anybody have any info on truck racks for carrying/loading an aluminum boat? I found this supplier loadit.com and am wondering if there are better or more economical options out there. I like the loadit because it's a one man job but it is pricey. Does anybody have one of these? Is there somebody that sells something like this locally? Does somebody have a homemade setup? Thanks
  16. Looks good on them. I had just bought a brand new truck a few years ago and one of those 'Yellow' cabs ran into me when I had 177 kms on the odometer.
  17. Maybe I'll see you, I work on the 8th floor. Hopefully you can see me.
  18. Thanks for the info and good luck. I hope you're as happy with the Wavefront as I am with the Lasik.
