Weedy1 Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 ROTFLMAO! Weedy..can you send me a version of the "real" submission with thinner lines? The jaw section of the bull is cluttered for stitching. Thx. Clive No problem Clive. I'd love some help with this. It would even be better if we could get some help from a Calgarian! Quote
dryfly Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 No problem Clive. I'd love some help with this. It would even be better if we could get some help from a Calgarian! Can you email a jpeg or png to me? clives@shaw.ca YYCers are too damn busy counting their money. Thanks Quote

Makes me even angrier that I'm not really in the position to move my family right now. But as soon as I am... I'm outta here!! P.S. - I'm going to hook up a strap to the back of the Runner and take the Bow River with me.. hope you guys don't mind. Quote

The Bow river isn't the only gem in Alberta. It's just the one all them "YYC'ers" have to spend there time on cause it's close. *wink* PS Clive... you a pilot or something? Not many people use the term YYC... you dang YQL'er. Or does coaldale have an airport? lol Quote

Weedy1 Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Better fish? Some detail will have to come out. Anf by the way, don't we have some "REAL" grapgics guys on this site???? Quote
ladystrange Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 oh i like that version. getting better. sorry, i'm a YVRer now in YYC. i know a graphic guy who is a member, or at least he is friends with a graphic guy, just dont see him on much. and if coaldale has an IATA city code, it would start with an X. EdB Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Yaaa. That last one rocks..YYZ for me, 18 years, now 18 years in YYC. Worked at the airport the first ten years. Quote
dryfly Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 YQL here... Tried stitching that colored trout today and it failed because of designer operator error-me. Will have to wait now. That thin line looks good Weedy. Quote
admin Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 That looks great. The fish looks much better, and the graphic overall looks cool. I hope your not thinking I'm a graphics guy.... I can code like a monkey, but I just don't have much in the way of the digital arts down. Quote
Weedy1 Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Just finished learning how to size a line in Illustrator. Now that I've figured out the most basic function of Illustrator, I should be able to crank out the alterations. I'm well on my way to quitting my day job. Ya have to some times wonder why puters were invented. Two hours to learn how to draw a frickin line properly? Here's the latest. Quote
hydropsyche Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I actually like the original fish better. It fits the scene better and it doesn't have to be perfect. It's more artistic in a Picasso sort of way. This fish looks overlaid. Sorry, just some constructive criticism. Quote
Weedy1 Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 This fish looks overlaid. Man I wish I looked that way. Your right Hydro, It needs to be angled inwards. Quote
EdB Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I can't wait to see hords of us wearing this at the flyshow. We'll be quite the gang. It's gonna be awsome. pp.s. i to wish i looked overlaid....nice one weedy1 Quote
ladystrange Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 sigh, me too... i think it needs to be angled to the right a few degrees. Quote
ladystrange Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 can you splay the tail a tad, not much Quote
Guest bigbadbrent Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Your lipstick. hahahaha wow..that entirely owned me.... Quote
Weedy1 Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 can you splay the tail a tad, not much Yep, I think I also have to give Max a left leg. It may take the eye away from the problem with the tail a bit more and give it more of the look in the pic. The fish needs to be fatter too. Quote
hydropsyche Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 I'd leave the left leg out and work on the right arm a bit more. Other the that, you're almost there, IMHO. Quote
