If you havnt seen the video, its got amazing videography but hardly any real fishing and the fishing that is done is mostly for rainbows. However as a fan of planet earth by BBC i really loved the video and thought it was a good buy.

For anyone who doesnt know its called "Once in a Blue Moon"

For anyone who's read about it or seen the video, the whole NZ mouse thing, and wondered if it's as nuts as you read about... it is. We were on a river where mice are out 2 days ago. In 15 min we saw 8 - 10 mice scampering across the rocks before the rain hit. The fish in that river are tanks - they look like dolpins surfing in the river. If you ever do anything in your life, hit NZ during a mouse year. It's not just the beech forests and mice, either. If the beech mast hits, it comes with warm, gentler winters preceding, meaning almost all waters are in good shape and trout built like shermans. I'd post shots here but don't have good internet right now. Have posted a few on our blog, mind you. Simply awesome stuff. We picked the right winter to do an extended trip.
