I didnot know Loomis was bought out, that ia probalbly why they do not sell the bags anymore. I have one Loomis rod and a couple of sage, bought i was wondering if the Loomis is a faseter rod than the Sage, or are they both about the same,?

I am thinking of purchasing a new rod, i am looking at either a Sage TCX or a G-Loomis GLX 9weight. to fish for Steelhead. i would like some opinions of which is better, do they handle differently, and what reel would be best?

I was at Bass Pro looking at their White River waders, front pocket, they want $150.00 for them. seems like a good by, but if they leak it is never a good buy. Any body tried them yet?

terry I was noticeing your reading said 57 degrees, was that the water temperature at the surface or at the boottom. how long have you had your Eagle, and how deep does it read? Some of the lakes in newfound land are said to be very deep and I am courious to find out how deep they are.

OK, Terry hw abut a means test. or better still, if you are over 65, you get a discount, if you fly fish you get a differnt rate; if you wish to keep the fish, a differnet rate.

I have owned a numer of diferent boots, Got the G4's this year, wore them steady for 4 days, hiking and wading. Very comfortable, lots of support, lots of grip walking up grassy slopes or moss coverd rocks. If you can afford them, get them. it is like a fly rod, good rods cast well, good boots feel good. At the end of the day, I don't wish to strugle to take my boots off, or to feel real good to have them off. With these simms, I'll leave them on and drive home. They feel that comfortable. It is like there vests, they fit well, and do not give me sore spots, from rubbing. The only complaint I have is I carry to much in all those 22 pockets. I have never regretted buying Simms

If you subscribe to Canadian Workshop, they had a great plan for a table top work bench. Published in the early 90's. Copies maybe avalable at your local Library. Holds all your tools and material right at hand. I made one for myself and buddies, we al love it.

I was reading the regulations for the canada national parks act, wich states " it is unlawfull to fish with a line capable of catching more than one fish at one time" does this mean you cannot fish with a hopper dropper?

Northern Ontario, Clean clear water, More lakes and rivers than then you can fish in a life time. it is quiet, and clean. but you better like snow, unless you go south for the winter, which you can in a two day drive. Vancouver Island is nice bet getting to busy, if you fish for Salmon you are should to shoulder. Alberta is getting crazy, was up on the clear river, fishing was slow, then all the water turned brown, people playing with there quads. Very few lakes to fish that are clean. The East coast is great the people are so nice, you want to go back, NL is so laid back and slow, life is a dream. No I will take Northern Ontario, fish all day never see a body. Sit around the camp fire till late at night, and it is still to hot to go to bed. But all in all every part of canada is great, every part is special to someone. It is my dream to take a trip and fish across canada, probably take a few years

When I first started tying, I was taught by a fellow from England who could tie some great flies. His coment to me was that if you put a bit of wool on a hook that was the right colour and size, you would catch fish. And I have aways found that to be corect. How and were you fish is more inportant.
