  1. Agreed, too much. Maybe try blending the colors more between the transitions and see how it works out.
  2. The Michael Jackson
  3. From http://www.flyfishusa.com/newsletter/011109/ The Bob Marley
  4. Since we're on the topic of giving away secrets, I thought I would post all of my secret lakes from BC. Have at er boys, let me know when you've fished them all.
  5. Really? That's news to me. (Actually it was in the early 1950's Alberta's population hit 1 million and it surpassed 3 million earlier this decade. )
  6. Not true, the number of anglers has been on a steady decline almost everywhere in Canada for the last 20 years. http://www.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/communic/statisti...005/index_e.htm http://www.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/communic/statisti...EN_20070727.pdf Maybe it's all those unlicensed Newfies and Cape Bretoners. Thank God we don't have Cod.

  8. Good going Brian. Are you doing the entire program at the college or is it a distant learning type of program?
  9. BS, sperm goes stale and must be flushed out. Several times a day will keep it most competitive.
  10. It looks to me that there is a double standard being applied to this photo post situation. My guess is Ayr's May pics are toast because he didn't follow the "no fingers under gill plates or lifting fish by the gills" rule, yet this particular thread has several pictures of just that and instructions on how to hold a fish that are contrary to the rule being applied. WTF? Maybe ALL photos should be banned just in case they offend someone in a particular way. Then we could get on with the business of censoring the text within the posts. And since we're on the topic of "Unnessary" Censorship....................... Click here if the movie does not play.
  11. The base is Oak plywood. The rest is pine.
  12. A small piece of plywood for the base, a couple of cheap fence boards, some screws, holes and varnish. Can't remember the cost but couldn't imagine it would be over about $30-$40.
  13. Maybe you will land a job working highway 22 for the Sheriffs office. Wouldn't that be nice.
  14. TACO, Garmin has a Topo Canada map (if this is the detail you're after) as well as other map sets set that works in conjunction with their Mapsource software. You could buy a cheap GPS like a Garmin Etrex or a receiver only and connect it to you laptop. https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=101...303#coverageTab http://www.gpscentral.ca/products/garmin/etrex.htm https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=6445 A company called Discover Canada also makes a decent set of GPS maps although the compatibilty with Garmin Mapsource may be an issue. I have the mapset and when I did the latest Garmin Mapsorce update the Discover Canada mapset stopped working. http://www.mapamia.com/discover-canada-dig...b02164c2bbb72b9
  15. Tim, I would jump on that offer in a flash if it wasn't for the 2 years worth of work I have to get done by the end of August. Thanks though.
  16. Note to self: "Don't eat Triscuits while reading funny *hit unless you have a firm grasp of the self administration of the Heimlich Manoeuvre." By the way Jack, the answer to your original question is Edmonton.
  17. Tim can't make it. He told me to take his place.
  18. This may help. http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/sc/boats/index.shtml
  19. Thanks Dustin.
  20. Can anybody give me a clue as to where to find the winning numbers for this lottery? They are not listed here: http://www.tucanada.org/TUC_toyotaraffle.shtml and when I called their office the fellow I talked to couldn't provide an answer.
  21. No kidding? Wonder if I can finally parked backwards in Edmonton. Funny thing is about 20 years ago I parked in the opposite direction, in front of my own home, in a tucked away residential neighborhood, for about 10 minutes, while moving furniture, and got a F&*?%ing ticket. This was during my move in. Welcome to the neighborhood!! BTW what's the speed limit in Calgary through a playground/school zone? Posted limit or 30km? In Edmonton it's 50km/hr which I think is stupid. There are some outling areas that have playground/school zones such as Ellerslie road that are 30km.
  22. I say if you were GUILTY of speeding through a playground zone then suck it up and pay your fine. If you were NOT GUILTY of speeding through a playground zone then good luck fighting it, hope you can find an out. As far as sitting where they want, I see them quite often sitting in the wrong orientation on the street which is also illegal. Haven't seen one get a ticket yet though.
  23. I just bought two 205 reserve capacity batteries from Rockys battery in Edmonton for $256.Rockys (North end) apparantly got bought out by Deca (golf cart battery man) and they may be cheaper than other locations. For $ per reserve capacity Rockys battery was the best. Of the places I checked this is how they rated for $ per reserve capacity: Rockys ( $128 for 205 reserve capacity) Canadian Tire ( $140 for 205 reserve capacity) The Fishin Hole (???) Cosco ($97 for 105 reserve capacity) I have used the Can Tire batteries extensively for the last 5 years. They last about 150 cycles which from what gather is about correct. So thats about a dollar per outing.
