No i'm saying statistically speaking the data set means absolutely squat. The popular rivers and streams are busier but in fact there are actually less licensed anglers in this province than there was 10 years ago. I guess that means the majority of licensed anglers are just fishing a lot more. The problem is the anglers are more concentrated on these internet “Hot Spots”. Most people I see are too lazy to walk past a point that would take them out of sight of the bridge or road access they arrived at the stream or river by. I don’t see them as a threat to where I can fish. We live in a lazy world where people want instant gratification and if they don’t get it they either become frustrated quickly or move on. That’s what I see on the streams and lakes nowadays, not the more dedicated type of fisherman of years ago. SupremeLeader - Jeremie is correct in saying blabbing on the internet is a problem. (I also stated “I'm not saying your incorrect Jeremie” in my previous post but you obviously took only what you wanted from it.)

I'm not saying your incorrect Jeremie, but statistically speaking your data set means absolutely squat. By comparing the number of fisherman on the B^&*$#@one river for two days, one year apart does not allow you to come to any meaningful conclusion. Do a day by day comparison for the months of July and August for the next 5 years and you may see a trend. By the way, if I am correct in saying the B^&*$#@one river, I thought I'd let you know that I ran into at least 10 anglers there in 2007 on a nice hot August day. The tubers were out also by the campground. I still caught a dozen or so cutties in the first three pools within eyesight from the campground area. I also fished the Crow for 10 days at the beginning of July this year. Fished some days upwards of 12 hours. From my ever deteriorating mind I recall running into 8 other fisherman. That's 8 other fisherman in 10 days. Not bad for a stream that has been blabed all over the internet.

Remember Jeremie, you are one of the 8 or 9, and maybe everyone of those other anglers is pissed with you being there too. Maybe it's time to start staying at home and take up knitting or something. I bet you could make a nice sweater, maybe put a big ass fly on the back of it.

Not A Good Use For The Coast Line Of Bc

I never stated that's the way I feel, nor did I say Albertans were blind to think it won't happen in their backyard. It's very obvious what is going on in Albertan, at least to anyone with one eye open. -

SJW response was "How do they heat their homes and drive their cars? That's all I want to know. If my furnace didn't run on gas i'd be burning wood. Lesser of two evils?" I could hardly imagine there was any intent in SJW's reply to try and get a "rise" out of you. It was a simple question. Maybe the topic itself got the better of you, but then again, maybe not... On a side note, I'd be interested to know why you say "if ppl in BC shows and stands up to the nation by being more 'environmentally' concern, then this action should rub off to you ppl here." Do you really think the average Albertan is going to fly off on an environmentally concerned tangent because a few people in BC decide to do so? I don't think so. It has always been my opinion that the majority of people in Alberta are willing to allow the environment to be destroyed as long as that means their standard of living is maintained. That is, as long as is doesn’t happen in their backyard. -

Hey Wolfie, did you happen to see "Administrator" underneath SanJuanWorm's name? Just so you know, he is the fellow that started this site and continues to maintain and moderate it. May I suggest being careful with your replies especially considering you just became a member? By the way your post in response to SJW's reaks of arrogance. -

I would be curious to know the law in regards to if I decided to move into one of these "abandoned" recreational vehicles for a week or two. After all, the guy has it parked on my property. -
I'll tell you....It's wherever I am. I have been stopped by Sustainable resources people not once in the last two days, not twice, but four times!!! First time was at the Boulder run at the Oldman Dam (license checked on a free fishing weekend?), second time was on the Crow by Jeff the stream watch fellow, third time was today to do a fisheries survey, and the fourth time was Jeff again who spoke to my my wife while I, from a distance, contemplated running into the bush looking like I had a sack full of fish just to add some excitement to the evening. P.S. - I don't ever want to hear any whining about crappy enforcement in this province again. (At least not in the Crow area.) BTW I would like to commend Jeff for the job he is doing on the Crow and area. It's nice to see enforcement happening at all hours and days of the week.

Emery is having a "Farewell Tour". For a mere $500 for airfare and a hotel room you too can have him visit your town so you can listen to him ramble on for 2 or 3 hours. He won't do bars or pubs though... I hear he doesn't like smoke filled rooms. http://cannabisculture.com/v2/content/marc...ell-canada-tour Honestly though, this guy is nothing more than an egotistical, narcissistic, self serving prick that has been preying on a culture that consists primarily of young adults who can't see through his BS. The guy is going to plead guilty and do the time, but at the same time try and maintain the business he has been running that got him into trouble in the first place. As far as I’m concerned if he has any ties whatsoever to the Cannabis industry while serving his time then he should not be released at all. http://www.straight.com/article-232373/mar...uting-marijuana I have to agree with Rickr on this one, this guy is utterly hysterical. -

Since we're on the topic of giving away secrets, I thought I would post all of my secret lakes from BC. Have at er boys, let me know when you've fished them all.

Really? That's news to me. (Actually it was in the early 1950's Alberta's population hit 1 million and it surpassed 3 million earlier this decade. )
-
Not true, the number of anglers has been on a steady decline almost everywhere in Canada for the last 20 years. http://www.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/communic/statisti...005/index_e.htm http://www.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/communic/statisti...EN_20070727.pdf Maybe it's all those unlicensed Newfies and Cape Bretoners. Thank God we don't have Cod.

It looks to me that there is a double standard being applied to this photo post situation. My guess is Ayr's May pics are toast because he didn't follow the "no fingers under gill plates or lifting fish by the gills" rule, yet this particular thread has several pictures of just that and instructions on how to hold a fish that are contrary to the rule being applied. WTF? Maybe ALL photos should be banned just in case they offend someone in a particular way. Then we could get on with the business of censoring the text within the posts. And since we're on the topic of "Unnessary" Censorship....................... Click here if the movie does not play.
