  1. My WIN card arrived in an IBM envolope with no Gov. of Alberta markings what so ever. I almost threw it out, thinking it's was junk mail.
  2. Does it have to be TIG? We can do it with a Mig wire feed. Fastpoke
  3. Love them. We has used alot of these BC sites from Golden to Nelson and all points in between. And yes you can have a lake all to yourself at times.
  4. U-Haul, rents trucks you can tow with. I built 4 custom trailers for a costumer who was suppling them to DOT and he picked them up and distributed them through out Alberta with a U-Haul rental about 3 months ago. Fastpoke
  5. Telus, started charging my dad for a long distance plan. He didn't realize of this extra charge for a number of months. Once he stated looking into it he noticed he had been charged this extra fee from Feb. 09. He was in south america from Jan. till Apr. Telus's response was somebody had authorized them from his house for the extra billing. Aside from a family friend looking after the house nobody else was around, let alone anybody with who could authorize added features. They cancelled the extra fees going forward but still charged for four months of a service no one signed up for. Crooks, Telus has not received a penny of my money since 1997. Fastpoke

  7. Just for clarification, it is $30 per part replaced. My rod needs a new section for sure, and if they can't remove the part from the section that is still good it's another $30 bucks. I'll find out tomorrow, on a good note they have some good deals, $10 per dozen on flies and other items on clearence. Fastpoke
  8. I broke my rod on a 9" fish, not actually, I think it got damaged when I was seperating it for storage. How is easy is it dealing with TFO for repair? It's broken where the 3rd section goes into the 4th, on the end of the 3rd. there is a chunk still stuck in the 4th(end) section. It broke on the 5th fish of the day, still managed to get another 6 with a broken rod. Any info would help. TIA Fastpoke
  9. I'm heading out to Saskatchewan this weekend to the inlaw's place. They are on lake wich has Pike and Walleye, I'm taking my fly rod along. I have a 5 wt, would this be to light if I hooked onto a pike? I've picked up a couple of Pike leaders and thought I would mainly try for the Walleye, but I might hook a Pike as well. Am I crazy to try this or will it be a hell of a fight? I've also packed the spincaster to be sure. TIA, Fastpoke
  10. I went and checked out Crappy Tire, the group 27 is about $130, group 24 are $80. How many hours of enjoyment can I expect out one of these? Thanks, Fastpoke
  11. If it was welded, I can't see it taking a lot of time. At least there would be no need to sand and epoxy it. I have the added benefit of owning a welding shop. We did a repair on a Al. fishing boat about a year ago, and relized, I could do a way better job then what that company did. It was custom built on the west coast.
  12. What is the best way to find holes in your waders? I have a pair of breathables which don't seem to leak when i'm wading in the Bow. When I get out to a lake on the float tube, one of my socks ends up getting soaked. I have a tube that keeps me sitting out of the water. I'm looking for some ideas on the best way to find pin holes. TIA, Fastpoke
