simple dude....fish the big slow flast and tailouts and target the bigger fish poppin...take some practice distinguishing wich are tiddlers and wich are gooders but ur probably fishing the right fly jsut not fishing over the right fish...2-4 foot flats are great for a fish too feed in the evening they ahd some deepish water too hide and tehres not a strong current and its easy too look at whats drifting above...fish are a little more spooky tho in teh flats but thats were i find the bigguns...goodluck dude

hey dude ive had luck fishing streamers in the downtown stretches bow buggers and clousers were best. nymphing teh chop will birng ya some whitties forsure and a trout here and there. best bets are smaller stones and juans 10-12, pheasent tails hares ears and any other dark or light nymph in a 16 or 18. goodluck dude

when this happens on the cutty streams i fish. i go too the early/late season water...semi winter water...if u get my drift...there metabolism drops and they dont feed much i use lots of weight and tiny midges and mayflies czech nymph style or indicatorin...jauns slay em too after the rain sometimes

ive seen this also and figured the fish had a rough go or something happened when it was a fry...the gillplate is 3 plates i believe maybe 2...not 100% on this but...its possible i suppose too bust and lose one or part of the gillplate and still have the functions too survive...but i aint and expert here
