  1. those are a couple of real beauties.
  2. During the hunt Ive heard Kevins name over and over and over again, nothing but great things If theres a next time and Terry isn't available, i'll try to get Kevin for sure.
  3. It means Im just a regular person and I won't be making that call again, sorry, sending that email. Its exactly what it means.
  4. I want to use Terry, if it where a bad thing I wouldn't have dropped his name online Ive used him before. I support FishTales fly shop and Terry, if I want to do a float they/he is my first call. Didn't look like it was going to pan out this year so i thought I would ask around. I knew one of the guys I called wouldn't be available but, I called anyways and had that confirmed lol. That will be a call I just won't make again, Im just a regular person. Anyways things worked out and we are down to days before the float, I can't wait. Really hoping the weather cooperates.
  5. man I love the look of this fly.
  6. for 40$ you can sit there and eat all night. you get every part of the cow, lamb (disgusting) chicken!! there fried pineapple is sooooo god dam good!!!! not to mention your 40$ also includes the buffet they have, salads of all kinds, the beef stroganoff is one of the best food you'll ever eat, cheeses, soups etc. Trust me dude the $40 is totally worth it! I can't speak for anyone else but you can spend 40$ anywhere and get half of what you paid for unless your at Boleros. Best bang for your buck but, you better be hungry!!!!!
  7. I had know idea that there was commercial fishing as well. Badgers still good right, two years ago I rad an article that stated it was in the top 20 pike lakes in all of canada and that a 20lber would be a regular occurrence. That said I fished it two days straight and never caught a fish over 30" imo pike aren't big unless there between 40-50" and I've never caught one that big
  8. Back to the basic's: Gold Ribbed Bead Head Hares Ear Nymph small one, tied on a size 16. Fly of the week for me
  9. tied a bunch of these up last year, this is the only one left. Its one of the first flies i recognized in the video.
  10. Pretty small for a salmon fly but thats what i labelled it as in 1998. It landed on my wife out at Paddys Flats camp ground, man my wife is fast!!!! If i was wrong you can tell me, tis a little shrivelled up but, it was the orange colour to me that determined what to was. That moth is freakin huge! Great Ash Sphinx. easily the palm of my hand! had to do a 150 bug bug collection for turf management back in 98. its been knocked around a lot and my kids like to look at so there are a few body parts missing and such. My teacher took my Horntail #@$%!!!!
  11. All sorts of epicness going on there! what a great video!
  12. you got it buddy, if meats your thing then Bolero's is a must try!!!! you never leave that place feeling hungry.
  13. Yup 10s their fearless leader. I know his uncle, him and I where coaches on our sons team last year and the boys play together this year. Do you know who Im Talking about? initials D S Ive been to 7 games this season. It was a slow start but they just won 3 straight to bring it back to 500. When you double you're opponent in shots you shouldn't lose but, thats exactly what happened in all losses but 1. The goalie trade was necessary and paid off instantly (3 straight wins) Cheap! Okotoks charges 15$ and 5$ for kids! Its the only AJHL arena I've been to where they charge for kids. These teams need the money so I really don't mind and this is really good hockey. Okotoks has a great rink and tons of fans, its fun to go to their games. Anyone who wants to watch good, fast, aggressive hockey? We have 3 AJHL teams in our city, well 2 and Okotoks which is easier to get to than FDB. Calgary Mustangs, Calgary Canucks and the Okotoks Oilers. Clearly the Oilers are the best... Aah man bring the baby!! Ive got two kids that have getting drug from rink to rink since they where a day old. Flames games, siblings, cousins!! Turn the vacuum on to put our kid to sleep, babys love the noise! Probably sleep the whole game.
  14. lol, we never stop learning, boot laces can wait!! That is a hog!!
  15. I can keep a secret, just sayin. I haven't been out to any cutty water really ever, #$%&!!!!! i think thats the biggest cutty I've ever seen. Did i tell you that I'm a good secret keeper.
  16. Nice vest! Glad to see its finally getting used. Ive wondered periodically man what a fish!!!! if your ever cold and lonely and need a friend to go back there with….
  17. thanks man, it was an absolute blast for him…and me lol. Evaluations are over and everyone is on a team, its on!!! Atom 1 has their first game this weekend woot woot!!!!
  18. Really man. what number is he? My Nephews #25, he's only 16 but the kid can play!! They played last night and won 3-0, he texted me yesterday afternoon saying was going to fight in the 3rd period lol!! Never happened thank god.
  19. Jennings Ultimate Boatman is one of the best flies you can use on a lake. did a bunch up 2 years ago. Great pattern and kind of a crazy tie considering you don't tie anything, no thread required.
  20. Do you know a guy named Jim Doktor?
  21. It was Swift Current not the Moose Jaw.
  22. New a couple guys that played with them back in the day. A friend of ours Chris Mantyka, was one of the guys killed in the bus crash along time ago. Isn't that where Graham James coached? Another buddy of mine played for him in MJ back when...
  23. Cool man, who'd you play for and how old are you? I didn't make it to AAA but all my buddies did. My nephews both played Buffs, now the 16 year old is playing for the Okotoks Oilers in the AJHL. Ive got a kid in Atom and another in PeeWee as well so starting timbits again this season is a little crazy. I was already one of the older dads on the team!!!
