  1. Well next week is my 31st birthday. The boss gave me tha a-ok to do a full day guided drift as my birthday present. I'm really hoping that the weather is nice as my fishing anytime I want when I want is coming to an end because come November we have a little girl on the way Any recommendations for a good guide at a reasonable rate? I was also thinking me and the pregnant wife could go but I think there might be safety concerns regarding that so I may be on my own Your opinions please Thank you
  2. I bought my outlaw x5 directly from Dave. I will never deal with this company or Dave again. Took me 4 months from the time I purchased to the time I received all parts of my boat. Terrible communication, and organization. Pm me if your interested in what happened. But trust me do yourself a favor and don't deal directly with Dave scadden. U can thank me later
  3. Fish creek is a good place to start and anywhere downstream from there. Look for an open stretch with not many trees so you won't get tangled too much on your back cast
  4. that is a nice fish! can't wait to head out again in a couple weeks to try my luck again! bet he felt like a rotty was on the end of your line
  5. for some reason it looks like bowfloat.ca closed up shop. anyone know where I can rent a pontoon just for a day. I was hoping to take my buddy out for a day but all i have is my one seater. Pm me if you can help me out.
  6. when you say environmental educational background, what type of credentials?
  7. i hope the engineer who inspected this bridge and gave it the A-OK is sweating bullets right now. This guy will most likely get fined and lose his license. Wonder where he got his credentials from. mickey mouse university.
  8. Some quality mayhem going on in Calgary these days. I'm moving back to Vancouver
  9. Can you believe this. As if the flood wasn't enough. Now a fuel spill to top it off. I don't know how the bow would bounce back from a diesel spill
  10. I had a resident in flooded resident in Bragg creek reach out to me as he is in need of a Backho to dig out his water tank as his house has no water at the present time and he cannot wait for insurance to mitigate this. He needs as much help as he can get as its just him, his wife and his autistic child. if anyone is has access to one of these and is willing to volunteer a couple hours on anyday in the near future in bragg creek please text 403-6891658 thanks in advance

  12. welcome to calgary. I wouldn't have your heart set on any rivers or anything close. look at fishing lakes east or north of calgary. if you have any other more specific questions shoot me a pm
  13. Hey guys, so i spent my day in bragg creek helping the victims of the flood. it was so sad, and opens new perspectives in my life. I will post videos and pictures later My auntie in law lives right on the river and i offered to help in anyway i could. I witness first hand the devastation it caused, the houses that weren't swept away right along the river were in 3 feet of water. I helped shovel about 2.5 ft deep of heavy mud out of garages, and helped rip out soaked and molding carpet from living rooms and bedrooms. It seemed like everyone in the community was cleaning up in one way or another. I was so blessed that my house was not affected that i feel i need to do everyhting i can for the less fortunate So i thought that i would organize a group of FFC members or friends who would be interested in helping. Going there and lending a helping hand with shovels, trucks, bobcats and so forth. if you are interested please PM me your email/ phone number with number of people and equipment and also days that you would be available and hopefully we can all help in one way or anther. I was planning to take off a day or two during this week to go help out again. also i will be most likely heading out next weekend. look forward to hearing from you
  14. So wondering what your thoughts are on how fishing will be after this water recedes. is it gonna be slow this year following a water level drop? Alot of fish must have died from this or are getting washed into the city streets
  15. sorry i was confused at the sea run salmon,
  16. easy..... CATADROMOUS FISH such as Salmon. QUESTION 2: Not a fish question but interesting to say the least. what does PNEUMONOULTRAMICROSCOPICSILICOVOLCANOCONIOSIS mean?
  17. hey guys thank you all for the input, it is really helpful. we are now about 6 months away till the new arrival and am really excited. Im sure that when the baby comes it will be a huge adjustment but overall it will be awesome to have a little me running around . on a side note, preparing for this newborn is pretty expensive with all the baby furniture and such. kinda shocked me when i told my wife that i will sell one of my most prized possessions, one of my winston b3x. luckily its my parents first grandchild and they offered to pay for everythign we need! let the spoiling begin!
  18. thanks for all the tips guys. totally looking forward to the new one coming!

holy what did you use as a fly to catch that?
  20. so with an expected newborn on the way this November, im totally excited but i feel that i wont get that much time to put into fishing the river. as last year i fished almost once or twice a week even during winter So how did you guys convince the ball in chain that you deserve time to go fishing rather than changing some diapers?
