Fish creek is a good place to start and anywhere downstream from there. Look for an open stretch with not many trees so you won't get tangled too much on your back cast

i hope the engineer who inspected this bridge and gave it the A-OK is sweating bullets right now. This guy will most likely get fined and lose his license. Wonder where he got his credentials from. mickey mouse university. -

Where can I pick me up one of these arcs -
Hey guys, so i spent my day in bragg creek helping the victims of the flood. it was so sad, and opens new perspectives in my life. I will post videos and pictures later My auntie in law lives right on the river and i offered to help in anyway i could. I witness first hand the devastation it caused, the houses that weren't swept away right along the river were in 3 feet of water. I helped shovel about 2.5 ft deep of heavy mud out of garages, and helped rip out soaked and molding carpet from living rooms and bedrooms. It seemed like everyone in the community was cleaning up in one way or another. I was so blessed that my house was not affected that i feel i need to do everyhting i can for the less fortunate So i thought that i would organize a group of FFC members or friends who would be interested in helping. Going there and lending a helping hand with shovels, trucks, bobcats and so forth. if you are interested please PM me your email/ phone number with number of people and equipment and also days that you would be available and hopefully we can all help in one way or anther. I was planning to take off a day or two during this week to go help out again. also i will be most likely heading out next weekend. look forward to hearing from you

So wondering what your thoughts are on how fishing will be after this water recedes. is it gonna be slow this year following a water level drop? Alot of fish must have died from this or are getting washed into the city streets

Newborn Baby = Cramp In Fishing
DRock replied to DRock's topic in General Chat - Fly Fishing Related
hey guys thank you all for the input, it is really helpful. we are now about 6 months away till the new arrival and am really excited. Im sure that when the baby comes it will be a huge adjustment but overall it will be awesome to have a little me running around . on a side note, preparing for this newborn is pretty expensive with all the baby furniture and such. kinda shocked me when i told my wife that i will sell one of my most prized possessions, one of my winston b3x. luckily its my parents first grandchild and they offered to pay for everythign we need! let the spoiling begin! -

GOLD! just sent her the text now -
holy what did you use as a fly to catch that?
-
so with an expected newborn on the way this November, im totally excited but i feel that i wont get that much time to put into fishing the river. as last year i fished almost once or twice a week even during winter So how did you guys convince the ball in chain that you deserve time to go fishing rather than changing some diapers?

i use final cut pro for my editing. mind you im a total noob for editing video.

Get a scadden and you won't regret it
-
I have a 10.5 foot scadden pontoon and its nice I think it tracks better than a 8 foot buck bags that I used before. A couple guys I floated with had 8 or 9 foot fish cats and they seem to manage on the bow just as fine. I guess for longer trips the bigger toon is better because you can load more stuff like bags and tents etc
