  1. Wow....1000 dollar fines and a licence suspension...talk about a slap on the wrist
  2. When you get it out I took my boat to fib-r-f/x in airdrie. Top notch work. Boat looked good as new. My buddy smacked the rocks right at the boat launch. Sorry about your luck guys.
  3. Just shy of 600 for both repairs. Not the cheapest labour but totally worth it. The boat looks great
  4. Got my boat fixed at fib-r-fix in airdrie. Fantastic work. Professional service and the boat looks like new.
  5. Couple of stops and rowed a bit through the slow sections
  6. Police to mac took me 5-6hrs last week
  7. He told me could row. Apparently he was stretching the truth
  8. Had a buddy of mine smash my new hyde into some rocks today.took two dollar size chunks out of my chine right down to the fiberglass. Hyde told me I could just find someone locally to do it. Wondering if anyone has had any repairs done to there boat here in Calgary. And where I could take my boat Thanks
  9. Thanks for the heads up. Planning a trip this summer and that would have thrown a loop into things.
  10. I spoke to Mel yesterday and he was concerned about being able to accomidate me when the season gets busy due to his existing customer base. I went with Louise Shotton. (Have heard nothing but good things about her)
  11. I have one and and was choking on my own spit when i was at the cash register paying for it, but now that i have it i wouldn't buy anything else. Just watch how big you go. It gets pretty tight in the boat when I put the cooler in and some times its a bit of a pain in the a$$...especially when there's three guys in the boat (I have a hyde 16ft). I love the idea of mounting it in the boat and putting a seat on it but it's not as easy to throw in the back of the truck and go camping and you loose dry storage space going that rout.
  12. With the exchange rate being 28 cents on the dollar I wouldn't be buying from hyde. there 499 boat cover just cost me 750. I saw some lighter duty garage matting at Costco. Are you putting it for comfort or cleats ?
  13. I have an ego s2 slider...I think I paid 75 bucks for it and I love it. The fishpond nets are really nice but 75 vs 300 seemed like an easy choice for me
  14. Might want to think about posting an ad on kijiji (if you havent already) any exposure could help. I sure hope he gets it back.
  15. No idea about ACN but i've had Bell, Shaw and Telus and Bell has better picture quality on there SD and HD then the other two (IMO). Shaws picture quality is still good and you get away from lengthy contracts. And i would suggest staying away from the satelite...again just my opinion but I hate the look of a dish hanging off the side of my house. Hope this helps
  16. Gopro camera...spent the cash thinking it would be awesome to film....turns out I would much rather fish than film.....I'll leave that for the pros
  17. Couldn't manage to find what I was looking for in the search menu.....I would like to start building my own rods. I'd like to create and lathe my own handles and so on. I'd like to start piecing the equipment together over the next while. Time and money are not an issue, I know what I want, just not sure how to get there. I've been looking into rod building courses and equipment but seem to lack a clear direction.....any info/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Cody.
  18. Eastern Rises is my favorite film.....never seem to be able to watch enough
  19. just wondering if someone out there has come up with a clever mounting system for a spare oar. was gonna order the ones from hyde but i get the feeling a guy could rig something up from the local hardware store. anyone rig anything up themselves that they would like to share ? thanks guys
  20. you mean you can't take accurate measurements of fish from a distance with your eyes.......weird, lol
  21. thanks for the encuragement sean84. I got the chance to fish for steelhead in northern bc a couple years ago and by far was the biggest rush I've had so far but on average browns and cutthroat
  22. GLS small engine repair in Mckenzie Towne 403-560-6454. He does all my small engine repairs and all the repairs on the equipment for my father in laws property maintenance company.....reasonable prices and quick service. If you don't want to take it somewhere I would replace the spark plug and fuel filter
