  1. The only thing Dave did that might be wrong is he assumed they where on there phones. The police are now saying they where trying to beat the train and there could have been some confusion after a large freight train just went through the area. So I really don't see how Dave's post was distasteful but Flyfishfairwx's post definitely is and will be removed. Bottom line people need to be more aware and they need to obey the crossing signals.
  2. Sweet and I'm glad you had a blast.
  3. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love that place so much.
  4. 8-6-4-2-0 is what you should aim for if you have the 6 already. Me 8-7-5-3 but I will be selling my 8 and maybe looking to get a 1 I fished my 7 1/2' 3wt all summer on the cutty streams and had a blast so I would see a 4 being just as good.
  5. Ya it sucks to learn the hard way for sure. Some of the guys here on the board use rod racks but you do need a bigger set of wheels for the one's that go inside. Me I take mine down and restring it at the next spot and I only lose 2 min tops.

  7. So he see's the CO coming and knows for a fact he doesn't have a valid licence and thinks he can outsmart the CO by chucking his gear in the river this way saving himself a big fine and only having to pay to replace his gear. He was poaching!!!!!! He was littering!!!!!!!!!! and got what he deserved!!!!!! If it where me I would have giving him every single ticket and ZERO warnings for being a smart ass. PS he drives a red H2 so keep an eye outfor him.
  8. I'm sure the fine folk at Southbow could help you get that rod Birchy (layaway)
  9. Ladies and Gents, "On behalf of Ken Crutchfield (Director of Fisheries Management), please note that the Round Table meeting for October 17th, 2009, has been suspended. Please see Ken's explanation below: The October 17th meeting of the Alberta Fisheries Management Government of Alberta provincial Round Table is suspended pending identification of less costly workable alternatives. Public consultation is an integral component in the design and delivery of a progressive fisheries management program. To that end alternatives are being implemented to maintain this dialogue. As previously announced, Area offices throughout the province are being encouraged to arrange an expansion of what have typically been meetings to discuss proposed regulation changes. Managers are being requested to include any element of the fisheries management program that is currently active and would benefit from public input. I encourage you to continue to monitor the Alberta Fisheries Round Table Web site for any new information or updates http://www.srd.gov.ab.ca/fishwildlife/fish...roundtable.aspx Thank you for your understanding, we appreciate your support and assistance during this transition period".
