I'll probably be chastised for saying it, but increased fishing pressure on the Oldman/Livingstone is probably the culprit. That being said fishing is variable and you could have just been unlucky this year... (Although I've noticed the same thing)

I think it must be a bull of some sort, in which case you should of kept him... Mmm, no fish is as delicious as a bull trout caught from a pristine mountain stream.

A booming city of over a million so close, combined with barely any government management of resources does not bode well. Not to mention the extensive clear cutting and oil and gas development. Unless a major change occurs it is only a matter of years until that entire area is completely trashed.

Lets just agree that there will never be any runoff or droughts or any problems whatsoever now that reputable scientists have established that global warming is a liberal myth.

I'm sure runoff will never occur again.

I liked my sharkskin line this season, however I believe that since I treated it with line conditioner it may have been damaged. There are cracks in the line when I fold it btw. my fingers and it seems to have had some considerable wear... I loved the line but for $100.00 I don't think I should get another one!

I was fishing the Livingstone last week and it was crazy, I must have scene about 15 other fishermen when fishing. Three years ago I fished the exact same spot many times, and saw no one. Unfortunately people aren't being responsible and continue to leave all sorts of garbage in the forest and near the river. Most the fish I caught were disfigured - you know missing eyes lips, scratched etc. Still a beautiful river but I don't know how much more pressure it can handle...

Hey, my reel crapped out on me (it was a cheap and not made very well anyway) and I'm looking for a good light weight reel preferably in the $50 to $100 dollar range. I don't mind spending a bit more but all I need is light reliable reel. (It would be good if it could hold a fair amount of line & backing) Any recommendations? Thanks

Any thoughts and opinions on whether the moon cycles affect fishing at all? Personally I'm not really convinced, but at the same time being a fisherman I want to believe in this luck (at least until I realized I booked my fishing weekend on "off" days!). I'm sure veterans as well as less experienced folk have experiences and thoughts they would like to share about lunar cycles. Are they real, or just a bit of old fisherman’s luck...
