$2.01 from me. Let the bidding begin.

Great job Rick.

Sorry if I am asking this too soon, but I just landed in town from Ontario for a wedding and I am curious if there is anything within a 3 hour drive that is fishable? Thanks.
From what I have read over the past few days yak pretty much all the rivers are out for a bit yet. There are some lake options you could go explore.
-
Looks pretty impressive for a toonie.
-
Well said Nenshi

If anyone is doing stuff tomorrow to help let me know. I am around. Pretty crazy stuff.
-
I get quite the view of the insertion point of the Elbow river into the bow from the 54th floor in the Bow.
It looks pretty crazy.
-
Haha well when the waters go down drlevi we will get out.
-
Oh right sorry. I knew my H2S tickets were coming due, this serves as a great reminder. I always go back through and read it when I am going back to the field which sadly hasn't been for awhile.
Thanks for the information drlevi and thanks for putting the correct info out there.

Actually if you can smell it you are okay <100 ppm. At concentrations above that is when you begin to lose the sense of smell.
Very scary stuff indeed.

Haha I cheated so I can't in good conscience answer.

Right on! Big congrats......
There is no feeling at all that comes close.......(well there is ONE that kinda comes close)
Would that be casting a new rod? Driving a new car...
-
Haha no worries, just where my head went. I should have read the question a little closer.
-
Great idea but my head hurts already.
I believe a Bull Shark has the ability to live in both Salt and Fresh Water environments although I am not sure about the birthing order or preference of water environments.

Congrats, a shame you couldn't get it to shore but still awesome to have the fight for a little bit and get that enjoyment.
-
Haha oh ya that too, very nice Pike.

Glad to hear everything went well Rick. With the exception of a lack of training. Nice to be healthy I am sure.

Oh so true, many a frustrating day recovered from just that one fish.
Great writing and thanks for sharing.

Nice pics.
Which river was that?

Congrats.
I personally don't have any kids but I know with my buddy who does it is challenging but he manages to find the time. Just about compromise he says. Make sure she gets some time away and then she will be willing to do the same.

Hey be nice now Jay, some people on this forum maybe fall into that drunk category..... I am not saying who
-
Now if you are in want of some over priced drinks might I suggest Calgary stampede. It will also be occurring at beginning of July

Thanks for posting, time to hit the water tomorrow. After I grab some new flies. I need to order a second spool too and get some sink tip line.

I love my clear net. The size I have is a little big though and I imagine I will pick up a smaller one especially for "bushwacking" in K-country.

Great post and pics peetso. Just what a guy needs with all the the unfortunate (or nearly unfortunate) events in Alberta this past week.
