Very cool...

Did some hiking with a friend this past weekend looking for some cutts in small streams. We found many fish willing to rise and although mostly small, there were a few surprises. On the last day I moved a nice 16-17 inch rainbow where I have never seen a rainbow before, and caught a really nice bull that chomped a clouser the second it hit the water a few feet in front of her... fun to watch in clear water! Thought I would share a few pics... (no pics of the bull, as it was quickly released after a good battle)

Its usually still iced over right now, but last year we were up there the last weekend of May and there was about 20 feet of open water around the edges. The hike wont kill you as its fairly short, depending on how far you drive up the road. As for the fish... they aren't too sophisticated up there, so you'll be able to drum up some action.
