Pot experimenting... I have a buddy who is a Psychiatrist who tells me there is a growing body of research that is showing that pot does some interesting permanent damage to brain cells. Just another thing to mess up kids/people with the illusion of short-term "happiness". If people respected themselves more maybe it would spill out on to the rest of us. Now there is a good hijack topic

I use Berkley transition (it's gold out of the water). I find I can use 10lb test for all my lake fishing with this gimmicky fluorocarbon. It always breaks after a hundred fish or so. I just attach it to the mono with a simple cinch knot, but that's the only knot I've ever needed for leaders. Maybe some day I'll get more fancy with my knots, but I haven't seen a need for it yet.

Good show Jeff. Nice to see you sharing your passion with your daughter. I can't believe those things are still eating stuff. Diggler: The 27" Bulls weigh 7lb. I have not seen a picture of a Bull much over that (if at all) on here. There may be a few Bulls over 30" that will break the 10lb mark, but they are quite rare. Rick, I like how you think. Please stop being so practical because you're interrupting this brilliant argument.

Orange feet as well. Other ducks tend to have grey, yellow or pink feet. I'd guess Mallard. She could be an offspring from tame ducks. There are folks who let their tame ducks range freely

Great shots Jeff. Bull trout don't feed after June 15 however. Love the sucker shots. We have one with a buddy sticking his tongue in one's mouth. It's a classic. Looks like another great trip full of smiles

Looks good. Try a few with no legs and see which works better. I pumped some out of a fish a couple of days ago that were paler in color. I think colors change depending on the lake. Good luck fooling the fishes.

Great footage. Nothing like fishing over marl. Only thing better is to watch them come up and eat a dry. Thanks for sharing.

I believe they are made by the fellow who used to run Redington. I have read that some of the bigger rods tend to snap on really big fish. Don't know about the 5wt's. You can be our product tester/advisor.

Tasu is a beautiful place. Hopefully there will be some salmon around to catch, if not the bottom fishing should be good.

I don't have a problem killing some fish to eat, they are food after all. Sometimes it's just more fun to fiddle with the bonker's minds by letting the fish go.

Great report young man! Sounds like a great trip and kudos to you for all your experimenting. Glad to hear you are bugging somebody by releasing fish.

Brent, do you think the weather had anything to do with the poor fishing? It's hard to catch them when they are sitting on the bottom not moving. There is a chance that some people might be able to catch fish there after June 15.

PlayDoh, there is no lake trout in U or L Kananaskis lakes. There is some however in Spray Lake

They are white black bears located in a small region on the West Coast

This is actually pretty common for guys who fish lakes often. A couple of years ago my boat mate got shocked a couple of times when the storm was still about 4 miles away. It was heading our way and we quickly got of the water before it reached us. At the boat launch just about everyone had a story of getting shocked at one time or another. I have seen lightning strike quite often a few miles in front of the storm front. I guess it is better to leave earlier rather than later.

Wow, a bunch of old guys (excluding Tim) crowded around Golden pond trying to catch the big one ... I should have been there with a movie camera..... where's Walter.... Looks like you had fun. I was stuck at another pond catching chromers on dries. Did you guys see any caddis at BH?

Great fish Lorney! It looks like a female to me. Females get dark as well for spawning. Is it possible the fluid released was from the eggs breaking down inside her? She looks like she is already past peak egg size time and on her way to cleaning up. Male triploids will still go through the morphological changes that come with spawning ( while the females stay chrome). They are however sterile.
