  1. Yeah, no sugar coating that one. It was a brutal game at best. $%* the bed is an understatement....... God awful effort by the boys last night. I can only hope that it gets better by Friday.
  2. That is a great pic flyon! Nice feeesh mang!
  3. You can try looking here as well..... http://www.ownerdirect.com/lodging/canada/...ationalpark.htm I used them for a golf weekend in Fairmont last year. The rates the owners charged were reasonable, and the home we rented was beautiful. Worth checking out.
  4. I like how you think. I'm down for that diet.
  5. How much did that set you back? On a toyota you wouldn't have to over haul the transfer case (or anything esle for that matter) to get to 400,000 kms.
  6. I enjoyed the show too. Picked up my subscription to Fly Fusion as well as one of Jim McLennan's books, Alberta's Trout Streams, on the suggestion of a fellow board member. Thanks Jayhad.
  7. That's how MLB does it. Made those games mean something again. At the very least, it couldn't hurt.
  8. Ever heard of "Frenchman's Creek"? It's right near there......
  9. Anyone going tonight? Planning on heading over there after work today.
  10. Just saw this news clip this morning. LOL http://healthandfitness.sympatico.msn.ca/N...c&date=True
  11. For the right price.....ANYTHING can happen.....lol
  12. Yes, it is boring. I can't tell you how badly I have wanted to fish lately, but wanted to make sure I rested my arm real well so that I didn't completely bugger it for my first full season of fishing this summer where I'll have more time to hit the water. It's boring, but worth it.
  13. Wow. What a night for Hemsky. Two goals, two assists. Six points in two games since missing 10 to a concussion. That backhand deke was a thing of beauty and that game winner was a rocket of a shot. Mason didn't stand a chance considering he was screened. Two HUGE points for the Oil last night. On a nice little run here. Won 10 of 15, 7-3-0 in thier last 10 and 5-1-0 in thier last six. I'm almost ready to say this team is living up to early expectations now that Cole is playing extremely well with Gagner which has revived both players, each getting 9 points in the ten games that Hemsky was out. Great to see a solid second line again. GO OIL GO! Still want to see MacT fired though........lol
  14. Oh dude...I feel your pain. Literally. I have had the same pain in my elbow since Thanksgiving, or fake Thanksgiving according to rickr, and went to see a physiotherapist. She massaged it, used ultrasound on it (aparently it reduces the swelling involved with an over used tendon) and even had my chiropractor do some active release on it. The chiropractor bit worked the best, so I tried mimicking the techniques myself with some Deep Cold and it has done it's job over time. The elbow brace hasn't really done what its supposed to for me, but ibuprophen really helps reduce the inflamation in the tendon. Took a while, but the best thing for it is rest. Try to use your other hand for whatever you can and stretch the muscles in your arm and elbow. Be patient is the key.
  15. Yeah man, Phoenix is playing some great hockey right now. Gretzky's really turned that team around. Of course, getting Jokinen and Bryzgalov hasn't hurt them any either......
  16. When Mozart passed away, he was buried in a churchyard. A couple days later, the town drunk was walking through the cemetery and heard some strange noise coming from the area where Mozart was buried. Terrified, the drunk ran and got the town magistrate to come and listen to it. When the magistrate arrived, he bent his ear to the grave, listened for a moment, and said, "Ah, yes, that's Mozart's Ninth Symphony, being played backwards." He listened a while longer, and said, "There's the Eighth Symphony, and it's backwards, too. Most puzzling." So the magistrate kept listening; "There's the Seventh... the Sixth... the Fifth..." Suddenly the realization of what was happening dawned on the magistrate; he stood up and announced to the crowd that had gathered in the cemetery, "My fellow citizens, there's nothing to worry about. It's just Mozart decomposing."
  17. True, they have been bad, but at least the Oilers didn't lose to Phoenix on this latest road trip of thiers. Or Colorado........
  18. In honor of a new incoming (finally) president..... Dick Cheney walks into the Oval Office and sees The President whooping and hollering. "What's the matter, Mr. President?" The Vice President inquired. "Nothing at all, hoss. I just done finished a jigsaw puzzle in record time!" The President beamed. "How long did it take you?" "Well, the box said '3 to 5 Years' but I did it in a month!"
  19. Great, in typical Oiler fasion....they play a wicked game against the Caps, one of the best in the East, then lay up a stinker against a divisional rival where they REALLY needed the points. :$*%&:
  20. FINALLY! A game worth commenting on! What a great game vs. the Caps tonight! Second best home record in the league and only their third regulation loss at home. Great game for the Oilers, finally a complete game from the first minute to the last. Great on the Penalty Kill for a change too.
  21. There is also something to be said about competition. Giving McElhinney some starts in a row might make Kip think he's not up to snuff and make him earn his starts again.
  22. The only thing that I would advise is to make sure you get the vehcile's VIN number and take it to your local Registry Office for a CarProof. It will give you all of the vehicle's records of Lein, Registration, Accidents, Odometer Readings, etc. Worth the $40 to know that your car hasn't been in any accidents.
  23. Never seen a Fly Fishing show yet. Although I want to. Any of these shows available online?
  24. LOL That's the best taxidermist job EVER!
