  1. Never thought about sending my 17 year old Regal in for warranty.... maybe I should, the jaws on mine started to get really lose regardless of hammering them back into the body. So I bought a Nor-vise and have never looked back.
  2. I don't know the differences but would you mind PMing me with who was the least, I'm in the market for new pair.... going Simms this time
  3. Wading belt...... hmmm water in your waders weighs more than the water surrounding your waders?
  4. Why the F*CK do my sale threads keep getting deleted..... I'm not violating any of the rules. Everytime I put up a sales thread it is taken down, I'm selling my personal gear. Are Admins just puppets? you are diluting the quality of this forum by not allowing members to post. I'm sure you don't have a marble sized nudge big enough in your pants to respond
  5. HAHAHAHAHA good one, Brod, Rad pics bud I can't believe how clear the water is where your dad got that dolly, it was chocolate milk when my party was there and way higher. I want to fish that stream in the conditions you suckas had.
  6. Don't get caught up on overlining a stick until you have cast it with the correct weight line....... the way it was designed. You want extra "oomph" but by overwieghting you slow down the setup and that may take the oomph you were seeking
  7. You douche, First of all: -we prefer the term aborignals or first nations.... you know that makes you a second nation.... haha -feathers weren't used for fashion, typically feathers worn in the hair everyday were to act as a sun shade. I'm going to scalp you
  8. Pay for her to take a lesson from a qualified woman casting instructor and then let her choose the rod..... by casting it. Don't scrimp on it, if a TFO isn't good enough for you........you know the rest you're married
  9. I don't golf but I think you would limit yourself with only one club, I look at my rods the same. The many fish species, the water they live and the flys tossed regulate that you need something besides a 5-6wt. I have a 2wt for small streams but I would really consider the purchase of a 0-000 wt for the same water. All though a lot of time I carry my 4 on the front range. I target bulls a lot and all though a 6 is more then enough to land a large one a 8 will cast the heavy flies and tips more effieciently. I have a 9wt for salt water and heavier applications but this may I'm headed to africa and I think I would limit myself with the tarpoon if i didn't have a 12wt or a 14wt. I also have a few duplicates of some rods... some for clients and some in case I wreck one and don't want any down time. There is really no limit to how many you can have, just excuses. My wife isn't an accountant but I save a little each month so I can do a big hit and buy 3-5 rods and reels each spring.
  10. I have a 4wt 6wt and I am buying another 6wt and a 5wt shortly, I find with the longer stick I can....... all of the excellent reasons above. I don't see myself purchasing a shorter rod anytime soon unless it's sub 2wt
  11. That's a rad stick, the 10 foot 6 wt is no slouch either. I have a few CPXs.... and I think they are great sticks, they have really nice, well thought out features like the hook keeper built into the reel seat... simple

    Bully Flies

a few things I've learnt with bullie flys, all of these statements are experience driven: sparse is better Heavier is better big bullies like other flys than just streamers only one hook is needed and the smaller the better, the bully in my avatar was caught on a #6 Gamagatsu Octopus. Bullies typically hit fish or fish imitations from the side, they mash them up in thier mouth then take them head first, therefor they tend to miss the first hook and hook up on the trailer when you set. To me having an additional hook can negatively impact the bullies. Jayvee lets hook up and I ll show you how to tie the Matador
  13. We are screwed until this fad unwinds, they are charging $15.00 for 7 feathers, that's some crazy ass profit margins
  14. That's rad, where were you?
  15. Good work Steve, Always on the look out for new holes
  16. If you can get it sent USPS...... the courier companies with tattoo your ass with the brokerage fees on something that $$$ and heavy. Typically UPS will burn you the worst, you may even get a bill from them months later on this delivery.
  17. The CPXs are rad sticks, Redington has benefitted from the relationship with Sage and I think the CPXs are a direct result of that. Lifetime warranty and they cast really well. I have a 6wt CPX Spey, & 9wt CPX and I've fished the 8wt 13'6" and I found it to be pretty nice as well. Probably going to get a 5 & 6 wt 10' as well this season.

  19. Andrew what material are you building your boat of? you can get pretty good plans if you do some searching but most are geared towards the wood
  20. MVADOG you're right this weather sucks.... I want to punch both Al Gore and David Suzuki in the baby maker for their anti-global warming BS, screw the southern US its our time to get warm
  21. Tripliod as a pro what do you think about Giant tanks? At a supplier I was told the Giants are the most effecient.... did I get douped
  22. Ya Sauron called he wants his precious back.... haha
  23. Take care in march Jeremie the river is typically substantiually (sp) lower than post runoff, It would be a shame to be repairing your chimes before summer.
