  1. Great fish, but great photo #1. Love the perspective and the colours of that beauty!
  2. Thats intense! I always feel a bit leary up some of those FSR's during storms, this validates those fears. glad you guys made it out with nothing more than a good story.
  3. Great Photo! sounds like an adventure.
  4. Love the story and the sarcasm! But your smiles say it all, a great day of memories for you and your grandson. I remember a day when after getting skunked out in the salt chuck my buddy and I anchored a serious boat in the mouth of the Nikomekl river at Crescent beach, BC, and using ultra light spin gear we had ourselves a Bullhead Derby, the largest being well under 5 inches. It was so ridiculous, but we laughed hard that day, and still laugh about it 20 years later.
  5. there was pictures on Twitter of a girl in bridgeland who picked up whitefish on 1st Ave, blocks away from the bow, and another of a decent looking brown around memorial drive. Im having a hard time comprehending this. drove my bike down to Southland dog park, and its just shocking. Take it easy everyone
  6. sweet colourful browns man! congrats.
  7. Fantastic creativity with your pictures, very nice composition and perspective. Looks like a fun year. All the best in 2012!
  8. looks like some great memories of this summer. The second last image of the rainbow with the fisherman in the background is fantastic. Super original perspective.
  9. Whoa, those are some chubby bows. Super pretty too and look rather un-abused. Nice work, nice shots.
  10. great pics, sounds like a great time!
  11. sounds like a great weekend with some sweet memories. Cute nail polish. i just went through one of those myself. (if you didn't smash your finger with a hammer, and that really is nail polish, I wont judge!)
  12. for close to 15 years I have been loving my G loomis GL3 9' 4wt for the exact purpose you describe. Comparatively speaking, I believe it to be great bang for the buck.
  13. Too funny, thats a buddy of mine from the lower mainland. we worked in a shop together for a few years. Hes a hell of a fisherman and riot to hang around. I credit him for re-introduncing me to flyfishing at age 19 after a 5 year break, but more than that, opening my eyes to so much more of the sport that I never understood during my first go around when I was much younger. He also has some great new videos on Youtube, check them out. Spencer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_s_XG8fNGyw...feature=channel
  14. Bang a Gong, That is Sick! In the middle of that collection, there was one fish who kind of tailed up on a rock in the middle of the river. That thing looked HUGE.
  15. nice fish out of a little stream like that. knowing youre large mits, Ill give you 17"?
  16. Very nice photo gil! Dont tell anyone it was an accident! Glad you had a good day.
  17. Sounds like you handled yourself very well Dustin, unlike the others. Just remember, Cooler heads always previal, and Karma is a beyotch. ignorant individuals always lose in the end.
  18. Beautiful shots! Geez the rocks in that first picture dont look very slippery.
  19. http://www.calgaryherald.com/health/Divers...6330/story.html What I dont get is how does one find this particular fish. Imagine approaching Fish and Wildlife "I was attacked by a pike in the glenmore resevoir, could you send in a diver to put him down?"
  20. We are lucky to have thaty type of nature at our doorsteps. Even still many foks will never experience it the way you are. Good for you for gettin out there and gettin it done!
  21. That is one Clean, Colourful, Nice lookin brown. Glad to hear the new guy liked it too. Good job!
  22. The stuff has been out for years in the USA. Miller makes a great beer called Miller Chill, brewed after the mexican chelada style (beer, lime, salt). They are super refreshing in 30 degree heat while on a boat wakeboarding, infact you can easily go through 12-24 in a day. Im surprised that it has taken the companies this long to bring them into Canada, and when they did, whoops major underestimation of demand. For now Ill stick with my Black Label ( $26 for 24 cans at superstore). Maybe Ill add my own lime!
  23. Sweet fish and great photos! cant wait to head out tomorrow!
  24. Helluva Trout. That is one beauty Brown! Congrats
  25. I have always used G loomis rods, and still do. I have never used an XP or Zaxis and therefore cannot comment on them. I am just not a sage guy. I will tell you that I am very, very happy with my 4pc 5wt Scott S3 which i picked up two years ago. In fact it is an amazing casting rod, and as close to perfection that I have ever felt. See if you can head to a shop to cast one and get a feel for yourself. I dont think I have ever heard anything negative about them. Carlo Dabroads
