  1. Black billed magpies. I'm not sure if AB has the other kind....
  2. Sounds cool too The guys downstream will wonder what the HELL you're doing up there
  3. Go here: FlyBC and do a search for posts by 'jack' All the info you'll need.
  4. Awesome fish! Nipigon is on my list of things to do as well. Someday....
  5. You're suggesting another test and another license for camping? I don't think that would fly very far. This is a very complex problem, that doesn't start and end with random camping.
  6. I'm too poor Talk to me in the summer when someone is paying me
  7. Okuma SLV. Put one on my 3wt. I want one to replace my Ross on my 5wt. You'll never go back.
  8. Wrong Tako This would be the Tako that needs a summer job in fisheries....will be keeping an eye out.
  9. At least you're willing to admit it
  10. Moves better than marabou? I'm highly skeptical
  11. Loud and clear. I knew that the Cardinal had been stocked, but I thought it had a native pop as well. Good info. I have passed the word along...
  12. Pardon my ignorance, I am unclear of drainage boundaries. Where do the Blackstone and Cardinal rivers fit into this?
  13. There's a barb on that hook

Correct. But you can't call them that anymore. It's offensive The gov't changed the name to "Northern Pikeminnow" Which I think is absurd, because they're not a northern species, they're not a pike, and as you can see, they aren't minnows!

You won't have to pay extra to fish these, I've never fished a CW in my life. An epic day in a provincial park Typical rainbows And the best river of all
  16. Hmmmm. I worked in Edson, and coming from BC, I'd say the quad and rig pig problem is bigger than the Livingstone. You're going to need mega enforcement
  17. No, I'm from the great white north
  18. Are you guys STILL whining about $20/day. Simple solution, stop following the guides around. There's plenty of water over here that ain't classified. So much that I've never bought a CW license in my life. To stay on topic, I pay $38.52/yr as a resident. When I paid $22.50 to fish in Alberta I was pleasantly surprised.
  19. Hmm the way I've always done it in my limited experience, is to tie a 'leader' of backing to the rear part (with hook), leaving about 3" of 'leader' then securing the 'leader' to the shank of the front hook with tying thread and a bit of cement. Bingo, you have two shanks connected. Seems to work for me.
