The service at Fish Tales is way to good. Such great service should not be rewarded with anything less than customer loyalty. I would still shop there out of spite just to teach them a lesson. I love Islander reels! Quote
SilverDoctor Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 Islander reels are great. I have the LX4. And it's an amazing reel that's stopped more than a few Steelhead and Salmon runs. The only other reel that is as good aquality is my old Hardy Marquis. Quote

walker1 Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 Rank my Islander right there with my Ross and Galvan. Might have to go shopping for a treat in the next few weeks come to think of it. Quote

jack Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Islander Reels? Yup, they're OK. Every one of them!! j Quote
TerryH Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 I have to agree, Islander reels are great. But, better still, the backup service is top notch. I plumb wore out the drag on one of my IR2's -- gotta love that, brag brag! Anyway, I got in touch with Islander, sent it back and they replaced just about all the inner workings at no charge. The reel came back looking like brand new. Terry Quote
SilverDoctor Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 And on top of the great quality it's made by a Canadian company. Quote
