kingfisher29 Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Can any one help me, I'm having a tuff time posting pictures on this site. thank you kindly Quote
Brad29 Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Just upload your pics to a site like photobucket and then copy and paste the IMG code into your post. Quote
SanJuanWorm Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Or resize them to less than 100KB and you can just upload them directly when you make a new post. Look for the UPLOAD button. Quote

reevesr1 Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Mike, Go to the ImageShack site and sign up. Once signed up, I think you get directed to the upload image page. Hit the browse button and find your image. Once selected, hit the resize button. I resize to 15" monitor. Don't know if that is right, but it works. Then hit upload. Once uploaded, hit the Insert Image button in your post. A dialog box will pop up. Paste the location of your image into the dialog box and click ok. That should do it. It took me a few tries to figure it out, but once you get the hang it is pretty simple. Quote
Tungsten Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 shite, now i don't no where i copy it from.Every one i try it says not allowed. Quote
reevesr1 Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 After you upload to imageshack, it goes to a page with different links to the image. The top one is called "direct link". Cut that whole thing out and paste it into the insert link to image dialog box. That should do it. Quote
chiasson Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Wondering if anyone here uses flickr and has gotten the links to work to post pictures on flyfishcalgary.com. I can't seem to figure it out. Quote
Bandi Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Wondering if anyone here uses flickr and has gotten the links to work to post pictures on flyfishcalgary.com. I can't seem to figure it out. I have not used my flicker photos here, but they seem to work if you insert an image (button with image) with the actual image location URL. Like this: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3122/290459..._24cd3db988.jpg Quote
jksnijders Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Wondering if anyone here uses flickr and has gotten the links to work to post pictures on flyfishcalgary.com. I can't seem to figure it out. I put pics to Flickr, then download them back from there to my desktop. Shrinks the file size to less than 100 KB, and you can just upload the image directly. Works good to bring down the file size for RAW. The image quality isn't sacrificed too much doing it that way I've found. But I'm incompetent to say the least with anything computer related, so there's probably a better way. Quote
Wanny Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Image Resizer by Microsoft is the easiest way i have found to resize images. Just right click the image and select resize. The site is a little confusing. Find the download on the right hand side 'ImageResizer.exe' Quote
SQUATCHER Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 holy CRAP! thats sounds like allota work. so you gotta go through this for every pic? lifes too short. Quote
chiasson Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I figured out something that works. Right click on the pic and choose open in a new window then copy the url minus the few digits at the end after the picture extension. Example: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3267/321742...f394f82.jpg?v=0 remove the ?v=0 and paste everything before it into the insert picture popup thing. Quote
jksnijders Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 holy CRAP! thats sounds like allota work. so you gotta go through this for every pic? lifes too short. My life's too short to read complete nonsense. Quote
SQUATCHER Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 My life's too short to read complete nonsense. but you did read it....and then you responded to it. Quote
SQUATCHER Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 why the process? why cant you just upload like youtube or email? im no genius (without my rod) but why is it this complicated? Quote
Wanny Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 holy CRAP! thats sounds like allota work. so you gotta go through this for every pic? lifes too short. The download is done once then it is just a matter of right clicking pictures for an easy resizing Quote
SQUATCHER Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 The download is done once then it is just a matter of right clicking pictures for an easy resizing gotcha. Quote
jksnijders Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 but you did read it....and then you responded to it. Yes. A total error in judgement on both counts. Quote
