I'll be doing a video sbs of the weaving soon, can't use a still camera because I'd need 4 hands. Or if you can weave already I can knock up a quick sbs for you.

I can do some weaves, others need a lot more practice. I can wait for the video. Please, PM me if I miss it. I really like the uniformity of those flies. They look like they would be very effective, too. Thanks.

I really like that pattern. Very well done.

Is that an O. Edwards thing to add the gills along the side like that? I think I've seen some methods like that from him... I think it's great and adds movement in the right place to the fly. The side gills are pretty obvious on caddis in the water.

The method is cool, but time consuming...

My first attempt at that style (mayfly) doesn't even come close to how those look.

I think I need to use different materials as the gills...

hey harps, with my first attempt at a weave, i used ostritch herl. seemed to work ok. a little time consuming you're right. i just have to get the herl in the middle instead of on one side.

i'll try it again. it wasnt good enough to take a picture of. and then i fished it and lost it :(

Tango posted a vid on how to do that weave. Check it out. (Thanks again, Tango). Off to the bench.

Opps. Links aren't working. Give me a minute to figure it out.

Works in preview but for some reason, doesn't work after submitting post. Maybe Tango can figure it out.
