Can’t help you much. In Mexico, Used wading boots the first time I went, flip flops the second time. Then used flip flops and Simms flats sneaker for my last few trips in Maui.

On sand, some sort of sandal  like teva’s Or whatever, might be good enough.  Can’t see those orvis boots keeping all the sand out...and if you can’t keep it all out then what’s the point really?

That being said, they look like they’d keep more sand out than the flats boots.

Do bonefish eat egg-sucking wooly buggers?

Ive heard good things about the andros. Anything to keep sand out, more importantly from my experience is keeping out micro-coral. That stuff killlls your feet if you're wearing open sandals

Hey Rob, I am sure you know someone with spares you could borrow....I have a few pairs but they are size 12 if that works I will be heading south myself but not until April.....going with the Doc or DE or family.....as has been mentioned socks are the key and its hard to beat the Simms wet wading socks for durability and keeping the sand to a minimum....
