So it seems some @$$holes decided to smash out all the windows at must be nice. I drifted last week on Tuesday or Wednesday and it wasn't like that so sometime between now and then but it doesn't look like they left a single Peice of glass in the house. Just putting it out there incase someone knows the owner so they can let them know and give them a chance to deal with it before a major rain storm comes along. Wtf is wrong with people these days

It happened again? Several weeks ago, we drifted by and noticed that all of the windows were smashed. The light coloured drapes were blowing in the wind.

what's wrong with them??

Plain and simple. No respect.

Never did comprehend the notion that destroying stuff, especially others stuff, is fun.

Like to know who so as to go to THEIR property and wreck their stuff.

The house is Condemned and abandoned it has been beyond salvage for many years. The owner passed away and the property was just one of many that was part of a very large estate managed by a firm left to his children. There was a caretaker but he stopped with the contract and then it was left to rot. Until last year a development company bought all the land and I don't know what their plans are for it but I imagine they could care less about the house as its going to get demolished sooner than later as it becomes a liability for them. There is a home owner at the top of the hill that does try to keep an eye on the place and will call the RCMP when the need arises. He is a super nice guy and just asks very nicely for people not to trespass. Kids in the surrounding area are the problem not river users the home owner at the top of the hill says its a thing with the high school kids to go down at night. Apparently its haunted. :)

Actually, "Must be Nice" is not the house on the west bank. It is the long stretch upstream of the house. It has a beach on river right, and a high bank on river left. It ends at the upstream end of the island across from the now abandoned house in a excellent dry fly flat. It got its name in the early eighties when some (unknown) anglers rounded the bend at the top of the section for the first time and someone said "this must be nice", referring to the fishy looking stretch.
