relk19 Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 At least you get a view from your place of work! But then again, that could be the problem... Quote
Guest bigdirty Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I can see crowchild trail from work. Many times I take my breaks down by the river hoping to spot fish. Need some polarized eye protection, the glare off the dew in the mornings can be deadly. Quote
Hawgstoppah Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I'd get fired from that job the first time I spotted a pod of risers! 4 Quote
BigFoamy Posted September 10, 2014 Author Posted September 10, 2014 At least you get a view from your place of work! But then again, that could be the problem... seeing the river on the other side of the fence doesnt help lol! but yes a great view from work. Quote
BigFoamy Posted September 10, 2014 Author Posted September 10, 2014 I'd get fired from that job the first time I spotted a pod of risers! yes i do spend a lot of time at work fired up watching fly guys and the river, theres actually a couple of spin guys that r always down there. Anyways yes its a good place to be. Seeing them and not being able to go gettem is painful sometimes, the good thing is that the rivers still there after work 1 Quote
monger Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Great view. I am stuck working with a bunch of bottom feeding tank dwellers. At least some are transforming into corporate ladder climbers Quote
bowbonehead Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Rob are those Northern Leopard's? Reason I ask is I have seen a big increase in the number of frogs on the river this year and I believe they are Leopards... I thought I had read that their numbers were on the decline.....Sorry for the hijack but a great thread ..... Quote
monger Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Yes BA. Fewer sloughs around these days seems to impact frog numbers. There are a number of possible reasons for low frog population. Good to hear you are seeing more. Quote
SilverDoctor Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Yes sure missed the Leopards saw the first one this year after not seeing em" for many moons. When I was a youngster they populated every pond and ditch. Their songs where almost deafening in the evening. Miss that. Quote
